Now guests can sit at the bar of Tune-In Lounge for the first time in four years. The brand-new chairs feature brown legs with golden foot bars. The seats have red upholstery.
The old bar chairs had straight legs, while these have legs that slant outwards. The old chairs also had red upholstery, but these have new textured backs. Compare to an old photo by Disney below.
Tune-In Lounge is in the Echo Lake area of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It’s connected to 50’s Prime Time Café and doubles as the restaurant’s waiting area. It serves some of the same cocktails as 50’s Prime Time, as well as beers and wines. The lounge opens at 10:45 a.m. daily.

First up, we’ve got a very popular choice with our readers, which is Disney’s Wilderness Lodge! This deluxe resort is located in the Magic Kingdom area, with boat access directly to the park entrance. Disney fans seem to love this one because of its charming mountain lodge-style atmosphere and delicious restaurants.
Wilderness Lodge
The resort is home to both regular rooms and Disney Vacation Club villas, and it has stunning grounds and walking paths. It’s close to a park without being on the busy Monorail loop, and we often find its lobby full of visitors relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere.

Whenever we ask our readers to share their favorite Disney World resort, this hotel gets answered VERY frequently. And we can’t say we blame them!
Disney’s Pop Century Resort
Since we picked one hotel on the deluxe end of the spectrum, we’ve also got to share with you Disney World’s most popular value resort — Pop Century Resort! This hotel is the cheapest option on the Disney Skyliner route, which means that it books up pretty quickly.
Pop Century Resort
Because of its location on the Skyliner route, Disney fans often choose Pop Century over the slightly cheaper All-Star Resorts (which only have bus transportation). With the Skyliner, you have easy access to Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT. Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is within walking distance.
Skyliner
The cheaper price point means that Pop Century is more accessible to a variety of guests. Even though it only has a food court and a pool bar, the easy transportation means that you can get to several higher-end restaurants in just a few minutes. It’s a pretty great deal!
Disney’s Pop Century Resort
So there you have it — the two most popular resorts in Disney World, according to Disney fans! If you’re hoping to stay at either of these spots, you’ll want to make your reservations as far in advance as possible, because they book up quickly.
And stay tuned to DFB for more tips and advice from Disney World!

How stoked are you for after-hours events at Disney World?
Typhoon Lagoon After Hours
Disney has some pretty special events that take place in the evenings after the parks have closed. This makes for some excellent opportunities to jump into much shorter lines and lower crowd levels overall. And that’s not all, because there can even be complimentary treats and drinks! We are big fans of attending these after-hours events. Another popular one is returning soon, and it’s almost time to get registered.
Moonlight Magic has made its return in 2024 on select dates. This is a special after-hours event for Disney Vacation Club members. It’s complimentary with your membership, all you have to do is register. But the spaces do fill up! The next Moonlight Magic event is happening in Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon!
Typhoon Lagoon After Hours
June 4th marks the next Moonlight Magic event for DVC members in Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon! The event will feature meet-and-greets, entertainment, snacks and drinks, and lower wait times. Members who are staying at a Disney DVC resort the night of the event may have already been able to register for this event, but tomorrow, May 2nd, early registration opens!
Typhoon Lagoon After Hours
As long as the event is not filled up, all DVC members will be able to register on May 9th for the Moonlight Magic event in Typhoon Lagoon on June 4th. It is open to all eligible members. So if you’re a DVC member who is hoping to get in on some after-hours action in Typhoon Lagoon, make sure you’re ready to register tomorrow!
Typhoon Lagoon After Hours
These events are a TON of fun and a great perk to DVC members. Each member can register up to four guests, and children under three don’t need to be registered. Get ready to register in the AM!

This stunning new resort is set to open on June 6th, 2024, and we’ve been keeping an eye out for all the announcements and details Disney has shared about it! And, it must be our lucky day because we just got a new look at the Fantasy Springs Hotel!
Disney shared a NEW look at the Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel. This park-integrated hotel is located right next to Fantasy Springs and it looks seriously incredible. It’s actually made up of two different hotels: the Grand Chateau and the Fantasy Chateau.
The interiors are inspired by Disney Princesses with flora and fauna with motifs themed to the port. There are also three dining experiences at the hotel: Fantasy Springs Restaurant, Grand Paradis Lounge, and La Libellule. This hotel opens on the same day as the Fantasy Springs park expansion: June 6th.
As we mentioned before, the Fantasy Springs Hotel is located INSIDE Fantasy Springs. Guests at this hotel get to go inside the theme park via their own exclusive entrance.
The Grand Chateau is “a luxury type,” and the Fantasy is “a deluxe type.” If you want to book the Fantasy Chateau, rooms start at 63,500 yen, which is $429.94 in USD. Grand Chateau rooms start at 300,000 yen, which is $2,031.23 USD. Depending on the room type and view that you book within each building, that price could be higher.
If you’re planning on staying at the Fantasy Springs Hotel, you can purchase the One-Day Passport: Fantasy Springs Magic to “enjoy Fantasy Springs to the fullest.”
Disney’s website says that “this ticket allows guests to enjoy the attractions at Fantasy Springs without specifying a time in advance, and with a reduced wait time.”
We’re keeping an eye out for all the latest news about Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea — and you might even catch us there when the park opens! Make sure you stay tuned to DFB for all the Disney news you need to know.

It is OFFICIALLY May! A brand-new month can mean a lot of different things at Disney World.
Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs
However, one of our favorite things that we get to find out at the beginning of each month is some of the limited-time food options you can find at a beloved Disney Springs spot. Yep, we’re talking about Gideon’s Bakehouse! Each month, a new roundup of specials arrive to Gideon’s, and now that it’s May, we have some new goodies!
Alright, who’s ready to see those May offerings? Gideon’s shared on Facebook that May is all about PEANUT BUTTER.
First up, you can get the Peanut Butter Cold Brew Cookie, which is a thick (almost half-poun) Peanut Butter Cookie laced with Freshly Ground Espresso and fully covered in chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Reese’s Pieces! Gideon’s said, “It should be overly sweet, but that Espresso Bean works to balance it all out for a unique and flavorful experience! This is available every day of May at both locations, with a limit of two per person. This is one of our favorite cookies to grab at Gideon’s, and we totally recommend it.
The cookie in question!
Next, here’s the Double Frosted Cake that has three layers of super soft Chocolate Cake with a full layer of our addicting Peanut Butter Buttercream and the shop’s Mocha Espresso Buttercream! Slices are available every Wednesday and Saturday this month at both shops with a limit of two per person. These slices of cake are HUGE and delicious.
Gideon’s said, “This is a special merch month, as the previous proprietor of our Disney Springs location reemerges in a different world. Jonathan Lindwurm returns on this month’s collectible menu and these lovely merch items! Menus are handed out to everyone in line at Gideon’s in Disney Springs and with each online merch order placed in May.”

Fort Wilderness Policy Updates

Third-party companies are not allowed to conduct business on Walt Disney World property. Unauthorized rentals by non-resort guests are not allowed.
A while back, we learned that Disney was installing a new type of turnstile at the Disney California Adventure entrance gates. The new turnstiles are automated to open after a Cast Member scans and validates a theme park ticket. Not only that, but the update has expanded the amount of available turnstiles and gates — and will also make them both stroller and ADA-compliant.
But, we got to check out the new gates for ourselves on a recent visit! They feature a screen with a barcode scanner below, as well as a MagicBand+ tap point. Disney also removed the physical turnstiles from between the ticket scanners. It’s the end of an era!
New turnstiles!
The new system still has some things to work out, though. Our reporter said that before getting to the new gate, a Cast Member scanned his pass on his phone, and then he walked up and scanned his ticket from his phone under the screen. It’s supposed to take your photo and let you in, but it didn’t work and the Cast Member just ended up scanning his ticket again without the machine.
Shortly after, Cast Members appeared to close the new entrances and reboot them. Both sets of new turnstiles were functioning again not too long after we scanned through.
New turnstile
Hopefully, once the kinks are worked out, the new turnstiles will make entering Disney California Adventure a bit faster, easier, and more user-friendly! Stay tuned to DFB as we bring you the latest news from Disney California Adventure, Disneyland, and more!
