Another option that has just been released with the new chapter is a new Illumineer’s Trove. When you play the game you’re called an Illumineer, and this trove is a special place to hold all your cards so they remain protected! It comes with one card storage box, six card dividers, eight booster packs of 12 additional game cards each, six damage-counter dice, and one lore counter. While it doesn’t come with a deck of cards, it has nearly everything else you need to play!

Grab Some Booster Packs

Starter packs are a great way to begin playing the game, but once you get the hang of it, you may want to start building your own deck or adding to the one you have to make it ultra, mega, powerful! These booster packs are a great way to add to or build a deck. 12 cards, including one foil card, are included in each pack.

Things to keep in mind if you decide to build your own deck — you need at least 60 cards in it, it cannot contain more than four copies of any single card, and it can only contain one or two inks. (Inks are the colors of the decks, for example, Ursula’s Return has Sapphire, Amethyst, Steele, and Amber inks. Your deck can only have one or two inks.)

This is a really fun game that we hope more people start to pick up! It can be played with two or more people for a very exciting game night! We’ll continue to bring you Lorcana updates, so keep following DFB for more Disney news!

D23 Members can SAVE BIG at Disney Springs.

One of the best perks of being a D23 member are the copious amount of discounts that often arrive on merchandise locations around Disney parks. Recently, one of Disney Springs’ most popular stores is offering a savings for members, if you ACT FAST.

If you’re a D23 Gold Member, you can currently save 15% of your purchase of any “luxurious self-care products” at Basin. All you need to do is present proof of D23 Gold Membership at the time of payment to receive their discount.

Basin at Disney Springs

However, time is RUNNING OUT, as the discount ends on May 31st.

If you’re unfamiliar with Basin, the company offers a “diverse collection of natural bath and body products. All offerings—from bath bombs to shampoo and conditioner bars—are chemical-free, cruelty-free, and formulated specifically for our guests’ needs!”

Basin

Furthermore, all of Basin’s products are “made in the USA; are animal cruelty-free; and never contain parabens, alcohol, or mineral oil.”

This discount also extends to Basin White, the company’s other Walt Disney World location at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, which offers “a wide variety of custom, chemical-free recipes, and exclusive, high-end fragrances you won’t find anywhere else.” Like its Disney Springs counterpart, the Basin White discount also expires on May 31st, and proof of membership is required at checkout.

What Will Disney World Change at Test Track? Here Are the 5 Biggest Theories

A LOT is changing in Disney World, specifically at EPCOT. Okay, actually a lot has already changed at EPCOT as it’s about to finish a multi-year massive transformation.

Test Track

However, Disney isn’t quite done with EPCOT just yet. Disney previously announced that one of EPCOT’s most popular rides, Test Track, would be getting an update, and that update is going to happen sooner rather than later. Test Track will close on June 17th, but as to what we can expect from the update…well…Disney has been pretty tight-lipped about most of the details. So we asked YOU, our DFB readers, what you think the new Test Track will be like, and you had some theories!

What won’t change

First, we need to go over the things that we’ve confirmed won’t change with Test Track. For example, the ride isn’t moving. It’s staying in the same building it’s always been in. Disney has also confirmed that it has a great relationship with Chevrolet, who will remain as the sponsor for the ride.

Chevrolet will remain the sponsor

Finally, concept art of the new version of the ride suggests that the outdoor portion of the track will also remain intact. We know this is a source of frustration for some because with part of the ride being outdoors, well, that means that the ride closes during bad weather.

Disney Fans Have SURPRISING Expectations for the Test Track Re-theme in EPCOT — Are They Right?

What will change

We know from concept art that the ride’s exterior will get a bit of an update. It looks like the ride’s main sign will change, along with some of its nighttime lighting. There is a lot more purple mixed with the blue lighting in this concept art of Test Track’s new nighttime look.

©Disney

The ride’s overall theme will also change. Disney promised the new Test Track would take inspiration from World of Motion, the opening day EPCOT attraction that was originally in that space. That attraction “took visitors on a time travel journey through the history of transportation.”

World of Motion ©Disney

From the concept art, we can also see that the ride vehicles may be changing. It looks like the cars will be gone to be replaced by a different vehicle inspired by World of Motion, which used an Omnimover system for the vehicles.

3 Clues About How Test Track Will CHANGE in EPCOT

Theories

Okay, so let’s talk about the theories YOU, our readers shared with us. One of the overall theories, which seems plausible is a focus on Autonomous Vehicles, aka self-driving vehicles. This would certainly make the attraction more futuristic. Steve said, “I would like to see them lean heavy on the autonomous vehicle concept. That appears to be the future of cars. You already don’t actually drive the car, so they should make that more obvious. It could help people get into the future that GM is working towards.”

Current Test Track queue

Another theory was that the ride would be given a Sugar Rush theme from Wreck-It Ralph. Skyler said, “They should make it into Sugar Rush theme from Wreck it Ralph. Play the mini games to earn candies to build your car, then go test it before the big race.” We’re pretty sure this isn’t the plan for Test Track, but wouldn’t this be a cool concept for Tomorrowland Speedway in Magic Kingdom?

Test track vehicle

One of our readers, Donnie, had a very cool theory about incorporating seasonal overlays into the ride: “I’m hoping that it’ll be like a country scene like you see in the concept art I don’t know if they’re gonna build a show building outside to cover the current track, but it’ll be cool if they did that but like screens around the building outside where you speed around on the track and it changes with the seasons it could be like a snow overlay with Christmas and could be fall Halloweenish there’s so many overlays you could do.”

Inside Test Track

Of course, we KNEW someone had to mention potentially giving it a Cars theme so that it’s like Radiator Springs Racers in Disney California Adventure at Disneyland Resort. Richard said, “I LOVE the Cars track in CA.” Well, we do, too, but, again, Disney’s concept art doesn’t look like it’s going in that direction.

Radiator Springs Racers

Several of our readers think that the ride will focus on Electric Vehicles (EVs). Kelli said, “It’s still sponsored by GM and they are pretty serious about it. It wouldn’t surprise me if it deals more with electric cars.” That would certainly take the attraction into the future, right?

Of course, these are all theories, and we won’t know for sure until Disney reveals more information about its plans to upgrade Test Track. We’ll let you know when we find out more. Want to participate in these discussions? Be sure to follow us on Facebook.

Stay tuned to DFB for more.

All hands on deck! Disney has just revealed the FIRST LOOK at their newest cruise ship!

©Disney

Disney Cruise Line has been going full steam ahead with expanding its one-of-a-kind experiences. The Disney Treasure is expected to set sail for its maiden voyage on December 21, 2024, and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, the newest private island destination for cruise ship passengers, will welcome its first guests this summer. And to top it all off with a heavy dose of vitamin sea, Disney has finally revealed a first look at their newest cruise ship joining the family: The Disney Adventure! And of course, we got you covered with all the need-to-know info.

Setting sail to Singapore in 2025, The Disney Adventure is Disney’s newest and seventh ship and is a part of the Disney Cruise Line. Although Disney has kept much of their construction details under wraps, sources say that it is expected to be the largest ship in the Disney fleet and one of the largest ships globally as it has a passenger capacity of around 6,000 and accommodations for 2,300 crew members! That’s a sea-riously big boat!

Setting Sail With Disney Cruise Line

The ship’s design will likely follow the Disney tradition of blending modern amenities with the classic Disney charm we know and love, and we’re certain it will share in its sister ships’ tradition of having unique dining and entertainment experiences. And with the guarantee of having more Marvel, Pixar, and classic Disney stories on board, we are shore that it will be unforgettable! Ever since its announcement in November 2022, we have been excitedly awaiting more information on this new ship and the time has finally arrived as Disney has shared an exclusive look at the ship’s bow.

Disney has revealed that in its tradition of selecting a Disney character to feature on each of their cruise ships’ bow, the Disney Adventure will have none other than Captain Mickey himself displayed proudly, leading the vessel onward to its magical journeys!  This first look has us even more excited (if that’s even possible) for the ship’s inauguration and we are seated for all the newest details that will surely follow suit in these upcoming months before the official announcement of the the Disney Adventure’s journey!

Disney Donates to Florida Republican Who Supported ‘Don’t Say Gay’ Bill

The Walt Disney Company recently resumed political contributions in Florida after two years. Though they are not yet making cash donations, they are providing in-kind donations like park tickets to Florida politicians — including a Republican Representative Josie Tomkow, who voted in support of the Parental Rights in Education Act, a.k.a. the “Don’t Say Gay” bill.

Disney Donates to Florida Republican Who Supported “Don’t Say Gay” Bill

According to Orlando Sentinel columnist Scott Maxwell, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts made an in-kind contribution worth $16,423 to Rep. Tomkow’s campaign. The type of contribution was not specified.

Disney has made a new political contribution to a Florida Republican who supported the "Don't Say Gay" bill.

This revelation comes on the eve of Pride Month 2024, which Walt Disney World celebrates with themed photo ops, merchandise, and menu items. Disneyland Resort in California offers Pride Nite.

LGBTQIA+ individuals celebrate their history and continuing fight for rights every June in honor of the Stonewall riots, which began on June 28, 1969.

Two years ago, Disney suspended political contributions in Florida after Maxwell’s report in the Sentinel about them donating to all sponsors of the “Don’t Say Gay” bill. The company’s poor response to the controversy led to employee walkouts and petitions. Then-CEO Bob Chapek ultimately condemned the bill and Disney promised to get the bill repealed.

The situation led to Governor Ron DeSantis lashing out against Disney, ultimately taking over the Reedy Creek Improvement District and renaming it the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District. Disney and the District sued each other multiple times over before finally reaching a settlement and development agreement.

Disney’s first known political contribution since 2022 was to Democratic state Sen. Geraldine Thompson’s June 7 fundraiser. Disney donated theme park tickets and part of the fundraiser event will take place at Walt Disney World. Invitations to the fundraiser feature Princess Tiana, the star of Disney’s “The Princess and the Frog” and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

PHOTOS: New Downtown Disney District Entrance Unveiled

A first look at the new entrance to Downtown Disney District has been shared on the shopping and entertainment destination’s new Instagram account.

New Downtown Disney Entrance

Front entrance area of Downtown Disney with an arched roof and letters spelling "Downtown Disney" on top. The area is empty, with palm trees in the background and colorful panels on the barriers.

The new entrance includes spread-out security tables, silver gates, and a new overhead covering with large silver letters that spell out “Downtown Disney.”

A large mural depicting a futuristic, bustling scene with people interacting around modern architectural structures and a central tower, displayed on the exterior wall of a building.

A mural along a side wall, featuring artwork by Nikkolas Smith, highlights new offerings coming to the district as it continues on its multi-year transformation. Among these offerings are Paseo, Céntrico, and Tiendita, which recently opened to guests. This mural above appears to depict the new entertainment stage, accompanying grassy area, and Parkside Market. The new Chinese restaurant Din Tai Fung will also open this summer.

Downtown Disney District first opened to guests in 2001 as part of the Disneyland Resort expansion that included Disney California Adventure and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. It was inspired by Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World Resort, which is now known as Disney Springs.

What do you think of the new entrance? Sound off with your thoughts in the comments below or on social media.

10 New Photo Ops Coming to Walt Disney World This Summer from Disney PhotoPass

Disney PhotoPass Service is offering 10 new photo ops this summer at Walt Disney World Resort.

New Disney PhotoPass Opportunities This Summer

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney’s Animal Kingdom will have two new Disney PhotoPass opportunities this summer. The first is a video captured by the photographer across from the “Feathered Friends in Flight!” bird show.

The video begins with a close-up of the guests in the shot before zooming out to reveal a parrot perched atop a Disney’s Animal Kingdom sign. The Tree of Life takes up the middle of the video, as the guests shrink beneath it. The video then zooms back in on the guests.

A family of four stands outdoors near a fence, looking towards an animated character in a tropical setting. The man holds a young girl, while the woman stands beside a boy wearing a blue t-shirt.

The second photo op is a Magic Shot that takes place on the pathway between Africa and Asia. Meeko, from “Pocahontas,” hangs off a vine as he joins your family’s photo.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

At Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests will have the opportunity to experience a few new photo ops, like a PhotoPass video that allows guests to see the magic of a lightsaber igniting in their hands. During daylight hours, guests should search for an Image Specialist near Oga’s Cantina to experience the effect.

A person with short white hair and sunglasses stands in front of a spacecraft, holding a tablet with one hand and open palm with the other. Floating dice are seen in the foreground, creating perfect new PhotoPass opportunities reminiscent of magical moments at Walt Disney World.

Another Magic Shot allows guests to play the galaxy’s most popular card game, Sabacc. This photo op can be found in front of the Millennium Falcon.

A man and woman stand close together outdoors among greenery. The man wears a vest with pens in the pocket and sunglasses on his head, while the woman smiles with her eyes closed, touching foreheads. This sweet moment captures their excitement for new opportunities ahead, perfect for a PhotoPass memory.

Guests can also book a private photo session with a professionally trained photographer to capture their day in Batuu. The price for a 20-minute photo session is $99.

EPCOT

A woman in a white cardigan and red top stands next to a water-like green sculpture in a lush, outdoor setting. She is smiling and touching the sculpture with her right hand, perfectly capturing the magic of summer at Walt Disney World.

This summer, EPCOT will feature three new Magic Shots at Journey of Water, Inspired by “Moana.” One photo allows guests to meet the water, as it comes up to give them a high five.

A woman stands posing with her hand extended near a large green plant figure as a bird flies above in the lush vegetation, all set under a clear sky. This summer, discover unique PhotoPass opportunities to capture your unforgettable moments, just like at Walt Disney World.

The next Magic Shot takes place in front of the Te Fiti figure near the end of the walk-through attraction. As guests pose in front of the goddess, Maui flies overhead in his hawk form.

A woman stands next to a small statue of two stacked coconuts with faces and spears, set in a garden with lush greenery at Walt Disney World.

The final Moana offering features two Kakamora. The smaller Kakamora stands on one foot atop the larger Kakamora.

A woman and a young girl sit on a rock surrounded by statues of characters from Finding Nemo, including Dory, Marlin, Nemo, Pearl, and Hank. With vibrant greenery in the background, this enchanting PhotoPass moment captures the magic of Walt Disney World perfectly in the summer.

Another Magic Shot at EPCOT can be found in front of The Seas with Nemo & Friends. As guests pose with statues of Dory, Marlin, and Nemo, Hank crashes the photo in the foreground.

Four people pose in front of a large white geodesic dome at Walt Disney World. Two of them hold large Stitch-themed doughnuts, capturing a perfect summer memory. It's one of those quintessential PhotoPass opportunities you won't want to miss!

The final EPCOT photo op is an Annual Passholder exclusive. As part of V.I.PASSHOLDER Days, Annual Passholders can pose for a photo near Dreamers Point with a donut prop and a Magic Shot of Sticth bursting out of the center of it. This opportunity is available through June 26.

Magic Kingdom

Two people pose with light cycle handlebars in front of the blue-lit 'TRON Lightcycle / Run' attraction at night, capturing a perfect memory at Walt Disney World with one of the best PhotoPass opportunities.

The two newest attractions at Magic Kingdom will each have new Magic Shots this summer. In front of TRON Lightcycle / Run, guests can take a Magic Shot with an Identity Disc.

A family rides a log flume attraction called "Tiana's Bayou Adventure" at Walt Disney World, with animated characters and vibrant scenery in the background. A firefly mascot holds a "We know a shortcut!" sign, perfect for capturing with PhotoPass.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will also feature a Magic Shot as riders plummet down the final drop of the attraction. The ride photo features Sebastián, Gritty, and a firefly, likely a member of Ray’s family, holding a sign that reads ” We know a shortcut!” This Magic Shot will be available when the attraction opens on June 28.

Disney Springs

Two people stand in front of a beach-themed backdrop at Walt Disney World, each holding two colorful beach balls over their heads. They are smiling, and a sandcastle model is visible in the foreground, creating new PhotoPass opportunities for guests to capture the perfect vacation moment.

Disney Springs is offering summer-inspired photo ops at the Disney PhotoPass Studio. Guests can take photos with beachy backdrops and summery props.

A young girl in a purple dress sits on a wooden bench, smiling at cartoon character Stitch, who is holding an ice cream cone and sitting next to her. The beach-themed background with sand and decor makes for one of the perfect PhotoPass opportunities at Walt Disney World this summer.

One Magic Shot features Stitch wearing sunglasses with an ice cream cone on his extended tongue.

Two children stand in front of a large, swirled soft-serve ice cream cone in a tropical beach-themed setup at Walt Disney World, with surfboards, beach toys, and colorful decorations around them. It's one of those perfect PhotoPass photo opportunities you'll cherish forever.

The other Magic Shot features a huge DOLE Whip.

The Disney PhotoPass Studio is located between Marketplace Co-Op and Ghiradelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop. It is accessible from inside and outside Marketplace Co-Op and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Guests do not need to make reservations to have their photos taken.

More PhotoPass Opportunities Coming Soon

Disney has also announced that more photo ops celebrating Pride Month, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Fourth of July, and the 30th anniversary of “The Lion King” will be available soon.
