Galactic Gateway Screen Reactivated During Refurbishment at Magic Kingdom

The Galactic Gateway stage in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom has been undergoing refurbishment for the past few months. This included getting a new blue color scheme. Work seems almost complete and the stage’s screen was recently turned back on.

Rolling planters surround the stage but guests can still walk through the plaza. The stage is usually used for special events, dance parties, and character appearances.

Repainting is complete on the back wall of the stage. When we last shared an update, there were two diagonal stripes of gray cutting through the white. The shutters around the stage’s doors still need another coat of paint.

New Astro Orbiter Bicoastal Adventures Pin at Walt Disney World

A new limited edition Disney Bicoastal Adventures pin celebrates Astro Orbiter (or Astro Orbitor). This pin series features attractions that exist at both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort.

We found the new pin at Frontier Trading Post in Magic Kingdom.

The Disneyland version of the ride is on the ground but offers a similar experience of rockets spinning through the air. It’s also spelled “Astro Orbitor” instead of “Orbiter” and is a replica of the Orbitron at Disneyland Paris.

The pin’s edition size is 4,000. Bicoastal Adventures pins released so far this year honor Space Mountain, Soarin’, The Haunted Mansion, and Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room.
