New Munchlings Popcorn Bucket Celebrates Donald Duck’s 90th Birthday at Disneyland

A new Donald Duck Munchlings popcorn bucket has debuted at Disneyland in honor of his 90th birthday.

The Donald Duck Munchlings popcorn bucket can be found across the resort at the various snack carts.

The bucket has two compartments: inside Donald and inside the red and white striped base. It’s made to resemble a Munchlings plush. The plush itself hasn’t arrived at Disneyland Resort yet but it can be found at Walt Disney World or online at the Disney Store.

A ribbon on the back of his little blue sailor hat has “DD” and “90” to mark the occasion.

The top compartment opens at the back of Popcorn Donald’s head.

Like the plush, Donald comes out of the popcorn bucket. He has yellow splotches of butter and a red bowtie.

The base is stylized like a classic striped popcorn bucket and a removable lanyard attaches to the sides.

The lanyard is also striped with images of the Munchlings popcorn Donald and a design reading “Fresh Popcorn.”

BREAKING: Halloween Night Sold Out for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2024

Halloween night has sold out for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2024 at Magic Kingdom, according to the Walt Disney World website.

The separately ticketed event runs on select nights from August 9 through October 31. Halloween night is the first to sell out this year (and is typically the first each year).

At this time, all other event dates are still available.

“Disney Dreams That Soar,” the new drone show coming to Disney Springs, will affect the schedules for various Disney Springs offerings.

Due to the addition of “Disney Dreams That Soar,” The Vintage Amphicar Tours, which typically run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. will now cease operation at 8 p.m. Aerophile — The World Leader in Balloon Flight, which would normally operate 9:30 a.m. through 11:30 p.m., will also stop at 8 p.m.

As for transportation, the Sassagoula River Cruise to and from Disney Springs from Disney’s Old Key West Resort, Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, and Port Orleans – French Quarter will also cut down its hours. The final departure from Disney Springs was previously around 11:30 p.m. and will now be 8 p.m.

“Disney Dreams That Soar” will be performed nightly above Lake Buena Vista on the West Side of Disney Springs from May 24 through September 2 at 9 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. Viewing areas can be found on the Disney Springs West Side, along the waterfront between the Cirque du Soleil Theatre and the Aerophile. These locations will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Disney Dreams That Soar "Star Wars" scene

The new drone show will feature characters from Disney properties including “Star Wars,” “Toy Story,” “WALL-E,” “Big Hero 6,” and more. The roughly 10-minute performance will be made up of 800 drones, will feature Disney musical scores, and sync up with the MagicBand+.
