Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is officially complete.
Thomas Mazloum, President of New Experiences Portfolio and Disney Signature Experiences, has shared new images of Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point in celebration of the Disney Cruise Line destination’s completion. One image shows the Goombay Cultural Center, which will be a hub for a Junkanoo festival celebration. Also in the image are members of a Junkanoo group styled in traditional festival dress. They will perform in a Junkanoo parade for guests visiting Lookout Cay.
Along with the images, in a post on LinkedIn, Mazloum congratulated the teams involved with the creation of Lookout Cay, including native Bahamians, Walt Disney Imagineering, and Disney Cruise Line for the achievement. You can read his note below:
“Today was a big day for all of us at Disney Cruise Line.
For years, our teams at Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney Imagineering have collaborated with the incredible community in The Bahamas to bring our second island destination to life. And today, we gathered alongside government officials and local leaders to celebrate the completion of Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point!
We cannot wait to welcome guests to the island when the Disney Magic arrives for the very first time next week!
Congratulations to all who made this dream a reality.”

The photos include a new look at Mickey and Minnie in their costumes designed by Bahamian fashion designer, Theodore Elyett. The outfits are designed with references to The Bahamas, with straw details, fruit, and conch shells incorporated into their looks.
Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is located on the island of Eleuthera and is the second of Disney Cruise Line’s private destinations. It will open for cruises on June 6.

A new “Deadpool & Wolverine” popcorn bucket has been revealed.
The “Deadpool & Wolverine” popcorn bucket was revealed in a video posted by the films’ star, writer, and producer, Ryan Reynolds. Its suggestive design features Wolverine with his mouth open as the vessel to hold popcorn. Hugh Jackman, who stars in the film as Wolverine, also posted the video, also with the caption, “Don’t try to butter me up.”
Later on in the clip, Deadpool’s hands can be seen covering the popcorn bucket’s eyes. The bucket has been unveiled ahead of the July 26, 2024 release of “Deadpool & Wolverine,” which is the third film in the “Deadpool” film franchise and the first appearance of Jackman’s Wolverine since 2017’s “Logan.” The film will be the first R-rated Marvel Cinematic Universe movie released by Disney.
The end of the video reveals that the popcorn bucket was designed by Deadpool himself, suggesting the character set out to mock his costar. This is in line with the rocky relationship between the two comic book characters that has been portrayed in the film’s trailer.
It is likely that this is only the first popcorn bucket created in promotion of the film, and that one of Deadpool, designed by Wolverine, could be coming soon. Reynolds teased the idea in his tweet with the video of the bucket, saying, “Years from now they will look back at 2024 as the year the War of the Popcorn Buckets began.” You can watch the full video below:

Reynolds, along with President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, had been hinting at the crude nature of the popcorn bucket in the months leading up to its release. During this year’s Disney presentation at CinemaCon, Feige stated that the popcorn bucket would be “intentionally crude.” Upon sharing the film’s movie poster in February, Reynolds captioned the image “Wait til you see the Deadpool popcorn bucket.”
This comes after the popcorn bucket for “Dune: Part Two” went viral for its suggestive appearance, even inspiring its own “SNL” sketch.

Do you know what our number one tip for Disney World in the summer is? Stay hydrated!
Don’t forget your free water
It gets really toasty and really humid in Disney World during those summer months, and that means you’ll be sweating left, right, and center! To keep yourself from getting dehydrated, you’ll want to make sure you’re drinking as much water as you can. Many people choose to bring their own bottles to the parks, but if you forget to pack one, there’s another solution!
You can get free ice water at any quick service location in Disney World, as well as many snack stands! We use this trick frequently when we’re in the parks to get water that’s fresh and cold.

But one of the best spots to get ice water is in EPCOT! If you head to the China Pavilion and stop by Lotus Blossom, they’ll give you a pre-made cup of ice water with a LID. They also have straws in a container on the counter, so it’s much easier to sip this one on the go, instead of tipping it back and dumping ice in your face.

There are plenty of spots to get free ice water around Disney World, but they’re not all created equal. Sometimes, we’ve had to wait in long lines to get water at a restaurant, so we generally prefer the spots where we can serve ourselves.
We love a self-serve station
In Magic Kingdom, Casey’s Corner often has self-serve water dispensers out next to the piano during operating hours. We’ve also seen dispensers out and about in other parts of the park during the hotter season, though they aren’t guaranteed. But in this park, you might want to avoid the really busy quick service restaurants if you’re interested in just getting water and going to a snack stand instead — any stand with a drink machine will be able to make you a cup, and the line will likely be shorter.

At EPCOT, some of the best spots to grab a refreshing cup are at Spice Road Table, where there’s a self-serve dispenser, and at Sunshine Seasons, where the drink machine is open access. At Sunshine Seasons, you’ll need to show the people at the register that you just got a cup of water, but it’s much quicker than waiting in line for someone to serve you.

Hollywood Studios is an absolute treasure-trove of self-serve water dispensers! One of our favorites is located inside BaseLine Tap House and it’s always filled with delicious, cold water. You can also get your fill at Ronto Roasters during its operating hours, and we’ve seen water stations pop up at some other quick service spots on occasion. Hollywood Studios is also home to two Joffrey’s locations, and if their lines aren’t too long, they’re a great option for a hydration fix.

Last but not least, we have Animal Kingdom! Here, your self-serve water options are a bit more limited, but the park is littered with small snack stands that make the perfect quick stop. No excuse to avoid hydrating!
