New ‘Mardi Gras Season’ Posters Added to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Construction Walls at Magic Kingdom

New “Mardi Gras Season” posters have been added to the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure construction walls at Magic Kingdom, joining Southern Dome Salt Company stamps, Tiana’s Foods signs, Tiana’s Foods advertisements, and a Louis photo op.

Mardi Gras Season Posters

A wooden Frontierland building under a cloudy sky, with a construction barrier featuring various posters for Tiana's Bayou Adventure in front. Two people with umbrellas can be seen near the entrance on the right.

The new posters are at multiple spots along the construction walls, including around the attraction’s future entrance under the Frontierland train station.

A wooden fence with a "Restrooms" sign and multiple colorful posters advertising "Mardi Gras Season." A lantern is mounted on the fence.

The posters are mostly purple, with touches of yellow and green — the colors of Mardi Gras. They read:

Celebrate Mardi Gras Season

Everybody’s Welcome!

The image on the poster depicts a band comprised of a banjo player, a drummer, a tambourine player, a trombone player, a bass player, and another singer. Palm trees are silhouetted around the border with hands holding jazz instruments.

Mardi Gras is usually celebrated in February or March every year, marking the end of the Carnival festival season. Though Mardi Gras has already passed this year, the holiday will be celebrated year-round on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

While visiting Magic Kingdom on Friday, we also heard music playing from the attraction. “Down in New Orleans” from “The Princess and the Frog” was audible behind construction walls. Guests have heard this song testing at the attraction before.

A construction wall with various posters stands in front of a large, green, hill-like structure with plants. A water tower with "Tiana's Foods" sign is visible in the background.

Hear the song in our video below.

A view of a whimsical, colorful building and a garden area with trees and several blue umbrellas. There is also a green construction lift and ladders in the scene. It appears to be a rainy day.

A quick look around the rest of the construction site didn’t reveal many more changes, and the stormy weather meant crews weren’t out working. New gold detailing has been added to the tops of some of the blue lampposts in the queue.

A construction worker stands near a metal railing on a winding brick path in a landscaped area beneath a wooden deck.

One crew member was watering plants under the train station. More plants have been added around the sidewalk that loops under the station.

Scaffolding and construction materials are set up in front of a rustic, multi-level wooden building. Two lit lanterns hang from the scaffolding. A black fence is visible in the foreground.

The wait time and Lightning Lane signage still haven’t been installed at the attraction’s entrance. The frames were installed earlier this week.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open at Magic Kingdom on June 28. Read more about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

The flushing toilet effect on Journey Into Imagination with Figment in EPCOT has been fixed, reportedly after reportedly not working for many years.

Journey Into Imagination Toilet Effect

A colorful, whimsical scene from Journey Into Imagination with Figment featuring vibrant, geometric shapes and patterns, including a large, flower-decorated upside-down toilet on a checkered floor. The setting is brightly lit and playful.

The flower-painted toilet is right above guests’ heads in the bathroom of Figment’s upside-down house. The inside of the toilet is lit with a yellow-green light. Though the light has been on, the flushing effect has not been operational for some time. The upside-down house was part of the previous version of the ride, Journey Into YOUR Imagination.
