Magic Kingdom is making some significant changes this summer!

From the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure to the revamping of the Country Bear Jamboree show and the closure of Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade, it’s like the park is a whole new place. And during a recent visit, we spotted another change…one that you might not notice!
For the past few years, the Agrabah Bazaar has been closed, with curtains drawn over the former gift shop. The areas around the gift shop have been open, with the Aladdin and Jasmine meet and greet running on one side and a seating area available on the other.

However, after an extended closure, the Agrabah Bazaar has reopened…but not as we remember it! It’s now home to a small snack stand.

This spot sells ice cream novelties and cinnamon-glazed almonds, as well as various bottled beverages in a refrigerator behind the counter. It’s a nice quick stop in the shade, so you’re not having to wait in line out in the direct sun.

They also have prepackaged popcorn in refillable souvenir buckets and cotton candy. Since they don’t have a fresh popcorn machine, this might not be the place where you want to buy that particular snack.

The area is still filled with decor from the former gift shop. There are lots of baskets, rugs, and Adventureland-esque props.

And of course, after you grab your snacks, you can take them to the seating area next door to chill. This is a great spot to sit down out of the sun and enjoy your treats. The seating area typically fills up quickly during the day though, considering it’s one of the few shaded table setups in this part of Adventureland.
Theming
Ultimately, this looks like Disney’s making use of the space to help control crowds at snack carts during the summer season. It’s possible that the bazaar could close again once the crowds die down. But we’ll keep an eye out for any signs of the gift shop returning!
