A Surprising Food Trend Is CHANGING How People Eat in Disney World

Disney World food is amazing, wouldn’t you agree?!

YASS corn dog nugs!

From Dole Whips to Mickey-shaped…well everything, Disney World food is such a key part of the whole experience. That being said, the other day while we were walking through the parks, we started noticing something we weren’t expecting. We’re surprised we didn’t pick up on it earlier, but it appears there’s a trend that’s changing how people eat in Disney World!

As we were saying, we noticed something on our latest Disney World trip — People are getting SMARTER about how they eat in the parks! It seems like gone are the days of people blindly dropping stacks on giant turkey legs (although those are still iconic). It appears that nowadays we’re all about maximizing our experience at Disney World without breaking the bank, and that means embracing some surprising food trends.

Trend #1 — The Rise of the Kids Meal

Don’t judge! (I see you) Hear me out about this one. Disney’s kid’s meals are often perfectly portioned for adults who aren’t looking to go into a food coma every single time they stop to eat. I mean, who wants to risk overeating constantly?

Plus, these kids meals usually come with a drink and a side, and those sides tend to be healthier options, which makes it a total win. You get a decent meal that will fuel the rest of your day at the park and your wallet gets a win, too!

Trend #2 — Quick Service FTW!

Here’s the thing: Sometimes it feels like scoring a dining resvation is about as hard as winning the lottery these days, and it seems that Disney has caught on to that, which is why the Disney World quick-service options have been crushing it lately!

Now, we’re not just talking about corn dogs and turkey legs (they’re still available though). Now we’re seeing some seriously creative and delicious opinions on the quick-service menus all around the parks. Think mouth-watering Ronto Wraps in Galaxy’s Edge…

My point is that you don’t have to break the bank or fight for an hour for a reservation to have a great meal at Disney World anymore.

Trend #3: Resort Hopping!

This one might surprise you, but hear me out. Sometimes, the best food at Disney World isn’t even in the parks themselves! Many of the resorts boast incredible restaurants with diverse menus.

‘Ohana

Plus, when you go to a Disney World resort, it’s a nice break from the park crowds. So, here’s what you’re going to want to do: hop on a monorail, a boat, the Skyliner, etc. The point is to go and explore places like the Polynesian’s ‘Ohana or the eateries at Animal Kingdom Lodge like Sanaa.

I mean, the options you have available to you are endless. You might even imagine yourself escaping the crowds to have a relaxing poolside lunch, then be able to head back to the parks later on feeling refreshed and ready to conquer!
