If you’re a Disney World Annual Passholder, you need to make note of these three days when Magic Kingdom park pass reservations are SOLD OUT.
Annual Passholders still need to make park pass reservations in order to visit the Disney World theme parks (with certain exceptions — I’ll detail those in just a second), and those park passes can and do RUN OUT occasionally. With a big weekend coming up for Magic Kingdom, it’s no surprise that three days have completely sold out for that park.
This weekend is the official opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom! The new ride (a re-theme of Splash Mountain) opens on June 28th.
Annual Passholders had the opportunity to preview the new ride on select days, but park pass reservations for those preview dates sold out FAST, so many Passholders haven’t gotten to see it yet. It looks like a lot of them have plans to be there on opening day or soon after!
Currently, Annual Passholder park pass reservations are SOLD OUT for Magic Kingdom on June 28th, 29th, and 30th. This is true for all four Annual Pass tiers (though note that the Pixie passes are blocked out on the 29th and 30th anyway).
Right now, all three other parks have park pass reservation availability, so if you’re dying to get into Magic Kingdom on one of those three days, you can make a park pass reservation for EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, or Hollywood Studios, go to that park first, and then immediately hop over to Magic Kingdom. You’ll miss rope drop, but you can still get in!
Note that you can also go to any park after 2PM without a park pass reservation except for Saturdays or Sundays at Magic Kingdom (so that hack would only help if you’re going to go on Friday afternoon).
As a quick reminder, Annual Passholders DO need a Park Pass Reservation to visit Disney World parks EXCEPT in these situations:
- Good-To-Go Days
- Any day after 2PM, excluding Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays
- You have a Park Pass and have entered the specific park that you have a reservation for — at this point, you can park hop to any other park at any time of day. (Phrased a different way: even though Annual Passholders can hop to a different park at any time, they MUST enter the park they have a theme Park Pass reservation for FIRST before being able to hop.)
We’ve previewed Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and definitely think this ride deserves all the hype it’s getting. The music is fun, we loved seeing our favorite characters, and the huge drop is still there!
If you want to learn more about the ride before you check it out, make sure you visit our Tiana’s Bayou Adventure page to read about the ride’s storyline, characters, music, and more.
