New Halloween Costumes for Mickey & Minnie Revealed, Returning Offerings Announced for 2024 Halloween Time at Disneyland

The Disney Parks Blog has shared a first look at Mickey and Minnie’s new costumes for Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort this year, along with confirming select offerings returning for the season.

New Halloween Costumes for Mickey & Minnie

Mickey & Minnie Mouse, dressed in their 2024 Halloween costumes, stand in front of a large, glowing pumpkin decoration at night. Minnie is in a colorful dress while Mickey rocks a skeleton suit.

Skeletons inspire this year’s costumes, which also feature colorful patchwork. Minnie’s costume is decked out in shades of green, orange, purple, and black, while Mickey’s outfit is more directly inspired by a skeleton.

‘Mickey’s Trick and Treat’ Show

Characters in Disneyland Halloween costumes, including Mickey & Minnie, perform on a brightly lit stage with colorful lights and decorations.

Available for the first time as a daily offering during the Halloween season, the interactive “Mickey’s Trick and Treat” show encourages younger guests to join in a not-so-spooky sing-and-dance-along with Mickey and Minnie at the Disney Theater in Disney California Adventure.

‘Halloween Screams’

A brightly colored castle illuminated in red and purple at night, with a projection of a green villainous character emitting flames, is a breathtaking spectacle from the Disneyland Forever fireworks show. Fireworks light up the background, creating an unforgettable experience.

Each night, you will receive a dreadfully delightful treat in the form of “Halloween Screams,” a nighttime spectacular featuring supernatural projections and other ghostly special effects. The projection show is viewable from in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, the “it’s a small world” facade, along Rivers of America, and on Main Street, U.S.A. On select nights, “Halloween Screams” is enhanced with fireworks.

Seasonal Décor Throughout Disneyland Resort

The Main Street Pumpkin Festival returns to Disneyland, anchored by the iconic Mickey Pumpkin. When you stroll through this charming thoroughfare, you’ll be greeted by cleverly carved gorgeous gourds decorating doorways, porches, and windows.

On Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure, Halloween motifs add to the ambiance. The Headless Horseman appears to light each night’s darkening skies with his jack-o’-lantern head.

The autumnal theming will continue in the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort and Downtown Disney District, where guests will find festive touches.

Radiator Screams

Brightly lit "Cozy Cone Motel" sign at night with neon lights and cone-shaped structures. The sign reads "No Vacancy" and advertises "100% Refrigerated Air." Trees and other decorations in the background evoke the whimsical charm of Disneyland, perfect for those in Halloween costumes during Halloween Time.

In Disney California Adventure, the rambunctious residents of Cars Land put the nuts and bolts into their Haul-O-Ween outfits and changed Radiator Springs into Radiator Screams with a ghoulish array of décor and the transformation of two family-friendly attractions.

A nighttime view of "Mater's Graveyard JamBOOree" sign with purple lighting, surrounded by trees and Halloween decorations, sets the stage for an enchanting evening at Disneyland. Guests in playful Halloween costumes wander through the park, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree and Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters pump up their soundtracks with a wicked groove and become Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween.

Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark

A tall, intricately designed amusement park building at Disneyland is lit at night with colorful lights and lasers. Palm trees sway in the foreground as guests in Halloween costumes enjoy the magical atmosphere.

Each twilight, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! transforms into Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark, releasing menacing monsters and free-roaming fiends. The Guardians have successfully escaped the Collector’s Fortress but accidentally left Groot behind so Rocket needs your help to distract the creatures while he rescues Groot.

Halloween Treats

A Halloween-themed dessert topped with whipped cream, candy corn, and chocolate crumbles, displayed on a black plate with a purple spider web-patterned background, reminiscent of a spooky Disneyland treat.

Dining locations throughout the Disneyland Resort will serve new and returning seasonal items.

Three tacos filled with seasoned meat, diced onions, and cilantro are lined up on a wooden board. A wedge of lime, a small pile of rice, and orange flowers are in the background, adding a festive touch that feels like Halloween Time at Disneyland.

Returning items include the Halloween funnel cake at Stage Door Café in Disneyland Park and the al pastor tacos inspired by “Coco” at Paradise Garden Grill in Disney California Adventure. Disney Eats will reveal all the fall fare closer to the season.

Halloween Merchandise

There will be fashions inspired by “Coco” and Oogie Boogie Bash-exclusive items.

Festive Fare at Goofy’s Kitchen and Storytellers Cafe

Sign for Goofy's Kitchen titled "Dining with Character," surrounded by colorful, oversized candies and pumpkins near the entrance of a building. Nearby, Mickey & Minnie in Halloween costumes offer a whimsical touch to this Disneyland dining experience.

If you love the fall season and dining with favorite Disney characters, you can’t miss Goofy’s Kitchen with a Halloween twist! Goofy and his pals will don their seasonal outfits for a dining experience like no other at Disneyland Hotel.

At Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Storytellers Cafe will conjure an all-new autumn-inspired breakfast and brunch, complete with seasonal décor and characters debuting new festive looks.

Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit

Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit begins in September. Search for Disney character-themed pumpkins hidden throughout the Downtown Disney District and, for the first time, Disneyland and/or Disney California Adventure. Purchase an activity map for either Downtown Disney District, Disneyland, or Disney California Adventure to aid in your quest and claim a special collectible keepsake.

Disney also revealed Oogie Boogie Bash, Haunted Mansion Holiday, and “A Musical Celebration of Coco” details.
