Joy has arrived at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a new meet and greet in Pixar Plaza, replacing Frozone’s meet and greet.
Joy Meet and Greet
The brick wall where Frozone previously met now features an “Inside Out”-inspired mural. The corner is dark blue with yellow, red, and light blue circles. It was previously an icy backdrop. Frozone might not be gone for good, just meeting in other areas of Pixar Plaza.
Joy previously met in front of an Imagination Land backdrop at the Imagination! Pavilion in EPCOT. That meet and greet closed permanently a month ago. Years earlier, Joy and Sadness met together at the now-closed EPCOT Character Spot.
The new Joy meet and greet opens ahead of the release of “Inside Out 2.” The sequel comes nine years after the first film, with all the emotions (although not all of their original voice actors) returning. New emotions, including Anxiety voiced by Maya Hawke, will debut in “Inside Out 2” as Riley enters her teenage years.
New “Inside Out 2”-inspired treats are also available at Walt Disney World and other Disney Parks. Concept art and maquettes are on display at Walt Disney Presents. Check out the “Inside Out 2” merchandise collection.
Pixar characters meet in Pixar Plaza, near the main entrance to Toy Story Land, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
