A traffic accident in a backstage area in Disneyland has resulted in a tragedy.
According to the O.C. Register, a Disneyland employee fell from a moving golf cart and hit her head at about 11:30AM on June 5th.
Police are investigating the accident. 60-year-old Bonnye Lear died on Friday, June 7th from the injuries she sustained. Lear was an admistrator in member services with Club 33. She had worked for Disney for 24 years.
“We are heartbroken by the loss of Bonnye and offer our sincere condolences to everyone who cared for her,” Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock said to the O.C. Register in a statement.
