Tiana’s Bayou Crunch and Sweet Popcorn Serenade Debut at Kernel Kitchen for Ride’s Opening

Two new popcorn flavors have debuted at the Kernel Kitchen, located in Main Street Confectionery at Magic Kingdom, to celebrate the grand opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Of course, we had to order both to review.

A double-door entrance of a building with a balcony above, featuring a gold clock sign and ornate lanterns on either side. One door is open, revealing a partial view of the interior and two individuals.

Main Street Confectionery is located in Main Street, U.S.A., right across the street from the Emporium. While accessible through any Main Street Confectionery entrance, the doors facing Town Square lead directly into Kernel Kitchen.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Popcorn

Tiana’s Bayou Crunch – $15.99

Cajun Cheddar Popcorn with M&M’S, Peanut Butter Chocolate Candies, Cheddar Crackers, Pretzel Pieces, and White Chocolatey Drizzle.

Close-up of a hand holding a large paper bowl filled with Tiana's Bayou Crunch popcorn, M&M’s, pretzels, and other colorful candies, with a crowd of people and greenery in the background.

All the popcorn flavors at Kernel Kitchen come in a convenient-to-carry container with an included lid, allowing you to snack on the go.

A bowl filled with a mix of colored candy-coated chocolates, pretzels, popped popcorn, and other assorted snacks.

This slightly spicy and savory treat is the right choice for those seeking a little adventure. The Cajun popcorn manages to deliver some kick, without being too strong or hot. The Mickey-shaped cheddar crackers offer a nice crunch to this messy but delicious treat.

Rating out of 7: 5

Sweet Popcorn Serenade – $15.99

Carmel Popcorn with Praline Pecans, M&M’S Caramel Chocolate Candies, Pretzel Pieces, and Dark Chocolatey Drizzle.

A hand holding a bowl of popcorn mixed with pretzels, colorful candy-coated chocolates, and drizzled with chocolate, in a garden setting.

Those seeking something a bit sweeter will find just that in the Sweet Popcorn Serenade. This popcorn loads up on the chocolate and caramel offerings, but the salt of the pretzels balances things out a bit. The pralines were buried deep within our bowl, which caused quite a mess. Overall, this popcorn delivers.

Rating out of 7: 5

Other special food, treats, and merchandise can also be found in Magic Kingdom to celebrate the grand opening of the attraction.

The front of the book is pink with images of flowers, stars, dots, and leaves. Behind the trio is a purple square with a pink castle and a couple of Rapunzel’s golden lanterns.

Magic Kingdom Guests Cannot Join Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and TRON Virtual Queues at Same Time

Magic Kingdom guests cannot hold virtual queue boarding groups for both Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and TRON Lightcycle / Run at the same time.

Magic Kingdom Virtual Queues

A wooden building facade with two signs. The left sign reads "Lightning Lane 11:57", and the right reads "Virtual Queue Groups". Both signs are decorated with green and gold accents and hanging plants below.

Virtual queues for both attractions open at 7 a.m. and then 1 p.m. via the My Disney Experience app. If you secure a boarding group for one ride at 7 a.m., you cannot then get a boarding group for the other during the 7 a.m. window. We entered the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure virtual queue at 7 a.m. and then could not join the TRON Lightcycle / Run virtual queue.

Two black and white motorcycle-like vehicles, identified as TRON Lightcycles, positioned in front of a TRON-themed backdrop displaying hexagonal patterns and the logo "TRON Lightcycle/Run.

If you are still in a virtual queue for a ride at 1 p.m., you still can’t join the other ride’s virtual queue. For example, if you joined the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure virtual queue at 7 a.m. but your boarding group has not been called by 1 p.m., you cannot join the TRON Lightcycle / Run virtual queue.

If you try to join both virtual queues, you’ll see the message “This Guest is in a boarding group for another experience.”

If you join one virtual queue at 7 a.m. and ride the attraction before 1 p.m., you can then join the other virtual queue. You cannot join the same virtual queue twice in one day.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is currently only available via virtual queue and Genie+ (soon Lightning Lane Multi Pass). Disney expects to open a standby queue soon.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT also currently uses a virtual queue. To join any of the virtual queues at 7 a.m., guests must have a park pass reservation for the respective theme park. At 1 p.m., guests must be in the attraction’s respective park.
