The Magic Kingdom braille map now includes Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which officially opened on June 28, and Country Bear Musical Jamboree, which opens in July.

Magic Kingdom Braille Map

A park map with color-coded sections and labels, including a braille section, displayed on a stand with greenery and a pathway seen in the background.

The braille map is mounted over a railing outside the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. The map’s current design was introduced last year when Splash Mountain was removed.

A photo of a Magic Kingdom park map featuring labeled areas like Liberty Square, Fantasyland, and Main Street U.S.A. The map includes a Braille section in the upper right corner.

The lands of Magic Kingdom are color-coded (for any seeing folks who may glance at the map) but also have different textures. Attractions are labeled with raised English and braille letters at the ends of raised lines.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Country Bear Musical Jamboree are both on the left side of the map.

New Princess Tiana Sipper Available for the Opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

A new Princess Tiana sipper has debuted at Magic Kingdom to celebrate the park’s opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

Sign advertising “Princess Tiana Sipper” for $18, part of "Tiana's Bayou Adventure" event at Walt Disney World Resort. It features an image of a green tumblers and details its association with NOLA culture.

We found the sipper for sale at one of the Castle hub carts, but it can also be purchased from The Friar’s Nook. The sipper can be added to the purchase of any soft drink, and is limited to two per person, per transaction.

Princess Tiana Sipper – $18

Two Disney-themed green drinking cups with spiral straws, decorated with images of Princess Tiana and characters from "The Princess and the Frog," placed on a red surface.

The cup portion of the sipper is a translucent green color, and features art of Ray the firefly, Louis, Tiana’s Palace, a Tiana’s Place menu, a crown, filigree, and more.

A hand holding a green, princess-themed, spiral cup with a lid featuring a small princess figurine on top and a straw. The background shows greenery and an amusement park setting.

A plastic figure of Tiana in her lilypad dress sits at the top on the matching green lid.

A hand holds a green, fairy-themed souvenir cup with a lid and straw, in front of dense greenery and people in the background.

A clear green straw wraps around the exterior of the sipper and sticks up at the top.

This Princess Tiana sipper design is similar to a Princess Belle sipper that was released last August at Disneyland Park.

Will you be grabbing this sipper on your next visit to Magic Kingdom? Let us know in the comments or on social media.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Toy Log Hints at Canceled Homage to Splash Mountain

Among the new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure merchandise available at Magic Kingdom is a toy that hints at a potentially lost Splash Mountain reference.

We found it for sale in the Emporium, but it will likely also be for sale in Critter Co-Op once the store opens.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Toy Log – $12.99

A hand holding a small toy log ride with anthropomorphic animal characters rests in the foreground. In the background, amidst packaged toys and a printed image of a smiling character, an Auto Draft display can be seen on the store shelf.

The toy resembles one of the ride’s log vehicles. Three critters — Rufus the Turtle, Sebastián the Louisiana Black Bear, and Phina the Gray Fox — sit in the seats. And a rabbit head is on the front of the vehicle.

Hand holding a toy featuring two cartoon characters in a log boat, as if an auto draft of playful adventure.

A full-body Br’er Rabbit figure used to be on the front of the Splash Mountain logs in Magic Kingdom, as seen in the photo below. Just Br’er Rabbit’s head was on the logs in Disneyland and the toy seems inspired by those logs specifically.

For Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the rabbit figures were removed from the logs and were not replaced with a different figure. The toy suggests that Disney was originally planning to keep the rabbits as an homage to Splash Mountain. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure also features critters, including Gritty the Rabbit, so it would have made sense. But it seems Disney decided to remove the figures at the last minute and it was too late to change the design of the log toy.

There is a Splash Mountain tribute in the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure queue.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure-Inspired Lavender Lemonade, Gumbo, and Hot Honey Chicken Hit the Spot, Beignets Fall Short

Golden Oak Outpost at Magic Kingdom has new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure-inspired lavender lemonade, beignets, gumbo, and hot honey chicken.

People are lined up in front of a rustic building with a sign reading "Golden Oak Outpost." The area is surrounded by trees, and some people are seated in a shaded area to the left.

Golden Oak Outpost is a quick-service kiosk near Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, between Frontierland Adventureland.

The special Tiana’s Bayou Adventure menu items are Frozen Bayou Lavender Lemonade, Tiana’s Famous Beignets, Hot Honey Chicken with Sweet Potato Fries, and Shrimp Gumbo with Sweet Potato Fries. For now, the themed dishes are the only food items available at Golden Oak.

Menu board displaying three food items: "Tiana's Famous Beignets," "Hot Honey Chicken with Sweet Potato Fries," and "Shrimp Gumbo with Sweet Potato Fries," along with beverage prices for soda and bottled water.

Golden Oak also sells bottled beverages and water.

Two plates of food sit on a table: one with sweet potato fries and a savory dish, the other with sweet potato fries and fried chicken. A milkshake and three beignets are also on the table.

Hot Honey Chicken with Sweet Potato Fries – $9.99

Chicken Nuggets tossed in Hot Sauce-Honey served with New Orleans Olive Relish and Cajun-spiced Sweet Potato Fries

A plate of fried chicken pieces topped with peppers and sauce, served alongside seasoned sweet potato fries on a paper plate.

This chicken is better than your standard Walt Disney World chicken nuggets. The sweet potato fries were also delicious and had a nice kick. The chicken nuggets weren’t as spicy as the fries. It was enjoyable and we ate every bite.

Shrimp Gumbo with Sweet Potato Fries – $11.99

Shrimp and Andouille Sausage Gumbo topped with Cajun-spiced Sweet Potato Fries

A paper plate containing sweet potato fries and a portion of shrimp étouffée garnished with herbs, set on a wooden table.

This was a favorite in our group. The flavors are on point. The gumbo is even better when combined with the sweet potato fries. For only two dollars more, this is a better option than the chicken. It leaves us wanting more.

Rating out of 7: 6.5

Tiana’s Famous Beignets – $6.99

Light, sweet, and fluffy Beignets with Powdered Sugar and drizzled with Honey

Three powdered sugar-covered beignets in a white paper tray on a wooden table.

The flavor of these beignets is great. You can taste a lot of honey. There’s an overly gratuitous portion of powdered sugar. The inside of the beignets are delicate and soft but the exteriors are a little tough, leaving us to think they had been sitting around for a while. There are better beignet options at Walt Disney World, namely at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort.

Rating out of 7: 3.5

Frozen Bayou Lavender Lemonade – $6.29

Minute Maid Premium Lemonade with flavors of Lavender inspired by New Orleans’ influence on American Cuisine

A frozen lemonade beverage with a lemon slice and a lavender flower garnish, served in a clear plastic cup on a wooden table.

This is extremely refreshing on a hot summer day. The lavender flavor was quite prominent — perhaps a little too much so. But there were few complaints as the drink was still delicious. A little less lavender would’ve gone a long way.
