It’s officially June, which means that the Pride Month celebrations have officially started over at Disney World!
Throughout the month of June, you’ll be able to snag a variety of celebratory rainbow treats throughout the parks and hotels. Well, we tried two of them, and we’re here to let you in on our hot takes.
The two snacks we’ll be trying today are both dome treats, but the mission today is to determine which is BETTER. You ready? Let’s head to Magic Kingdom to try the first one!
Over at Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom, which is where the park’s Starbucks is located, you can grab the Pride Dome for $5.99.
This is a dark chocolate and strawberry mousse, flourless chocolate cake, and rainbow glaçage.

It looks cute, but we’re not sure how all that chocolate will hold up in the summer heat, or if we’ll be fans of that much chocolate!
Well, if you’re not at least a medium fan of chocolate, you probably won’t like this. It’s a dark chocolate dome shell on top of a chocolate mousse with a small strawberry mousse center. The flourless chocolate cake at the bottom is very thin but serves as a good-enough base. The black ribbon around the dome and the milk chocolate Mickey face melt really fast. It’s a good price for the size of the treat, and it’s very cute, it’s just RICH.
Listen, unless you really, really, really love chocolate, you might want to skip this one. Seriously.
Next, we’re heading on over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Over at Creature Comforts (where the Starbucks is located in Animal Kingdom), you can get the Pride Mousse Dome for $5.99.
This is a lemon chiffon cake, raspberry lemonade mousse, white chocolate glaze, and rainbow sprinkles. Already, this one is the winner because of how CUTE it is! We think the rainbow looks better against the lighter colors of the treat — it makes it POP more.
But…how does it taste? Well, this one is a much lighter treat and held up incredibly well against the sun and heat. The raspberry lemonade flavor is very interesting, but so delicious! It tastes great paired with the white chocolate and lemon chiffon cake. The lemon chiffon made it much more of a complex dessert as opposed to a standard vanilla cake base, and we’re so glad they opted for it. The cake here is MUCH thicker than the chocolate one on the other treat, which is good if you like more cake than mousse.
This one is definitely our choice between the two. It’s much lighter, holds up better in the heat, and honestly has a better, more complex taste as opposed to the one that’s just rich chocolate.
What do you say? Which one do you think YOU’D like more? We’ll be sure to keep you updated with more Disney news and advice, so make sure to follow along so that you’re always in the loop and never miss a thing!
