RUMOR: Haunted Mansion Holiday Will Open Early at Disneyland

Disney announced this week that the holiday overlay of Haunted Mansion will return for Halloween Time with only a virtual queue due to ongoing work on the attraction’s grounds. This will be the first time The Haunted Mansion opens since it closed in January for queue construction.

Disney didn’t provide an opening date for Haunted Mansion Holiday but Halloween Time officially begins on August 23, its earliest start date ever. Haunted Mansion Holiday has historically opened around September 1 but rumors suggest it may open before August 23.

When The Haunted Mansion closed in January, it was still Haunted Mansion Holiday — it’s possible Disney didn’t even remove all of the “Nightmare Before Christmas” decor, making an early opening easy.
