Walt Disney World announced their Fourth of July plans earlier this week but has since adjusted the showtimes for “The Heartbeat of Freedom” fireworks at EPCOT and Magic Kingdom hours.
‘The Heartbeat of Freedom’
Disney initially stated that the fireworks tag would be performed after “Luminous: The Symphony of Us” on both July 3 and July 4, the first time EPCOT would have celebrated on two nights. Disney later edited the blog post to state the show would only be performed on July 4. It will follow “Luminous” at 9 p.m.
This will be the first time “Heartbeat of Freedom” is performed after “Luminous,” which premiered last December. Watch our video of last year’s July 4th performance with the “Harmonious” barges:
Magic Kingdom Hours
The Disney calendar also originally indicated Magic Kingdom would be open to all guests from 8 a.m. to midnight on July 3 and from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. on July 4. The calendar now lists Magic Kingdom hours as 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on July 3, followed by extended evening hours until 1 a.m., and 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on July 4.
Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky will be performed at Magic Kingdom on both nights at 9:20 p.m. There will also be a DJ in front of Cinderella Castle.
