We’re going down the bayou with Princess Tiana and Louis the alligator with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom. The ride is now open for previews.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Full Ride POV
The new attraction, inspired by “The Princess and the Frog,” officially opens on June 28, 2024. It takes over the former Splash Mountain ride, which closed permanently on January 22, 2023. The entrance is under the Frontierland Railroad Station.
The outdoor queue features Tiana’s Foods’s children’s garden. Speakers play jazz music. Blue lampposts illuminate the space at night.
A mural depicting Tiana’s professional journey and the creation of Tiana’s Foods decorates two walls of the queue’s barn.
Next to the barn is the Tiana’s Foods delivery truck.
A Tiana’s Foods sign featuring a lily flower is above the barn windows. The barn is yellow, green, and purple — the colors of Mardi Gras.
Signs on the barn doors and throughout the queue remind guests of the ride’s 50-foot plunge into the water.
The room inside the barn is an office and storage space. The Tiana’s Place flyer is framed on a wall. Newspapers advertise Tiana’s Mardi Gras party.
Up a set of stairs is a pantry and a hallway with framed photos and memorabilia from Tiana’s childhood.
Guests then walk through a kitchen, where a plate of beignets sits on a table. The kitchen is followed by another hallway of photos from Tiana’s adulthood, including about Tiana’s Foods.
Guests then enter a more cave-like hallway, part of an old salt mine. It features signs with warnings and reminders like “Shake off salt before leaving mine” and “High falls beyond this point.”
Tiana’s Foods has taken over the old salt mine.
Mounted TV screens in the mine give guests safety information. The loading station deep in the mine has a crane lifting a pallet of supplies.
During the ride, guests join Louis and Tiana as they venture from the Tiana’s Foods headquarters into the bayou, searching for a band for Tiana’s party.
They encounter various musical critters and Mama Odie.
