Universal Orlando Resort announced the new scare zone on their Halloween Horror Nights social media accounts.
Universal’s description of Swamp of the Undead reads:
In backwaters Louisiana, you’re about to be swamped by zombies borne from the bodies of trespassers killed and dumped in a nearby bog
Universal did not indicate where Swamp of the Undead would be in Universal Studios Florida.
On July 15, Universal Orlando Resort announced the first scare zone for the event, Torture Faire. Torture Faire is themed after a renaissance faire with homemade medieval torture devices.
Additionally, nine of the 10 HHN 33 haunted houses have been announced. They are, “Insidious: The Further,” “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,” “A Quiet Place,” Triplets of Terror, Monstruos: The Monsters of Latin America, Slaughter Sinema 2, Goblin’s Feast, Major Sweets Candy Factory, and The Museum: Deadly Exhibits.
Though the event doesn’t officially begin until August 30, preparation is well underway inside the park. Recently, towers and speakers were installed in scare zone locations.
HHN 33 will take place on select nights from August 30 through November 3. Tickets are now on sale. Frequent Fear passes with Express sold out within 24 hours.
