Construction walls are down from around the Joffrey’s kiosk at the entrance of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, although work is not yet complete on the space.
Animal Kingdom Entrance Construction
The construction walls went up in early March, blocking off a large space next to the Joffrey’s kiosk in front of the park’s main entrance. Now that the walls are gone, green barriers block a square of pavement next to the kiosk. The kiosk itself has remained open during construction work.
The barriers surround a smaller section of the pavement than the walls did. They also go up on the nearby flowerbed, which is currently devoid of plants. A green scrim is across the flowerbed behind the Joffrey’s kiosk.
The ground between the barriers, flowerbed, and kiosk is covered in plywood. It looks like crews have been working on the pavement.
We don’t know whether this is a simple pavement replacement job or something else. There used to be a merchandise kiosk in this space so a new stand may be coming soon. Work could also be for an expansion to the Joffrey’s kiosk.
