Disney Shares Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ‘Special Spice’ Lyric Video

The Disney Music Instagram account has shared a new lyric video for “Special Spice”, the original song from Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

All of the lyrics from “Special Spice” appear in the video as Tiana, voiced by Anika Noni Rose, sings over the top of stylized Tiana’s Bayou Adventure images. The lyric video begins with a night sky over a New Orleans cityscape. Fireflies spell out “Special Spice”.

From there, characters from the attraction start to appear. The video highlights Tiana, Naveen, Louis, and all of the music-playing critters who join them for the celebration. This includes Byhalia, Gritty, Beau, Apollo, Rufus, Timoleon, Octavia, Pawpaw, Claude, Bernadette, Sebastian, and Phina.

An animated scene in a forest pond shows frogs, a cat, and a beaver playing musical instruments and celebrating with special spice, while the word "CELEBRATION" is displayed at the top.

The stylized video also showcases instruments, musical flowers, locations, and foliage from around the bayou. Throughout, the imagery always stays true to the style that is found on the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure webpage.

“Special Spice” was written by PJ Morton and performed by Anika Noni Rose. The song’s name was first revealed to the public during the second episode of the YouTube series “We Call It Imagineering“. The full song was released on music streaming services on May 31, 2024.
