This event gives you the opportunity to try tons of exciting menu offerings that highlight the best and brightest flavors Florida is known for. There are SO MANY menu offerings you won’t want to miss out on, BUT there’s another addition that you can’t miss, and it may not be what you’re expecting. You CANNOT, we repeat CANNOT, miss…the talking tree.
Yes, during Flavors of Florida, you’ll get a chance to meet Douglas, the Talking Fir! Douglas is often found wheeling around Disney Springs during the holidays since he is the type of tree typically known for being Christmas trees, but he’s made an appearance for the summer as well!

And yes, he really does talk! Douglas’ plant base has wheels built into it so he can wheel his way around the area and talk with different guests. And yes, you can chat with him, ask him questions, and he’ll reply to you in real time — it’s not canned, pre-planned responses, which we think is SO fun.
We love him!
He’s all decorated with oranges to match the summer feel, and we’re so glad to see him back. And to know that he’ll (hopefully) return in just a few short months for the holidays as well.
