Haunted Mansion Holiday Theming Up at Disneyland Ahead of Ride’s Reopening

Ahead of the ride’s reopening next week, the Haunted Mansion Holiday exterior theming has been installed.

Pumpkins, wreaths, strands of garland, and more now decorate the exterior of The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland Park. Though construction walls still encircle the property, the attraction is set to reopen to the public as Haunted Mansion Holiday on Monday, July 29, 2024.

A wreath surrounds a clock in the middle of the columns on the front of the mansion. Above the clock, a strand of skull-appointed garland stretches across the top of the columns. Jack-o’-Lanterns and candles outline the peaked roof above the other decor.

A large house with intricate details and Halloween decorations, reminiscent of Disneyland's Haunted Mansion, is partially obscured by trees. A green construction wall stands in front of it under a clear blue sky, adding an air of mystery and holiday decor to the scene.

There are more pumpkins and candles on the roof at the main entrance of the building. In the corner of this roof is a garbage can next to an open green coffin with a long list coming out of it, which serves as Sandy Claws’ sleigh. It hangs down well past the garland that stretches around the green lattice on the second floor of the building.

A wooden sailboat docked near a large tree with dense foliage and a building in the background, reminiscent of a haunted mansion. The boat features a lantern and multiple ropes, adding to its eerie charm.

Beneath the list, a large Jack-o’-Lantern wearing a Santa Claus hat peers down at the ground below.

We were also able to catch a glimpse of the metal arch that stretches over the entrance of the attraction’s queue. The intricately detailed arch is stationed between two brick columns.

The old arch can be seen above. It used to feature a solid green arc that stretched from one column to the other. Above it, the main entrance, Lightning Lane, and exit signs were each topped by an ornate design.

Construction equipment was present as construction crews continue to work on expanding the grounds around The Haunted Mansion. Because the queue’s construction is far from complete, Haunted Mansion Holiday will use a virtual queue when it reopens.
