A Disney Springs restaurant is in line for a MASSIVE honor.

Disney Springs Wine Bar George, the “estate-style wine bar featuring wine and food masterfully paired by Master Sommelier George Miliotes” located at Walt Disney World’s Disney Springs, has been selected for a prestigious award.

The restaurant took to Instagram account to announce its recent accomplishment.

Wine Bar George announced, “We are thrilled to announce that Wine Bar George was awarded the Best Wine List in North America in the Short Wine List category and Best Wine by the Glass List with Coravin in North America by The World of Fine Wine!”

Furthermore, they wrote, “@worldoffinewine recently announced the world’s best regional wine lists for 2024. Wine lists from across the globe are judged according to a rigorous protocol by independent, international panels of leading professionals and celebrate the world’s very best wine lists. We are keeping our fingers crossed to win the best in the world award in these categories in September!”

The award is a significant accomplishment, and the potential “best in the world” honor is a BIG deal. Master Sommelier George Miliotes — part of the opening team of California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and restaurant manager from 1995 to 2002 — and his team have “created unique, by-the-glass lists that encourage guests to make adventurous choices.”

Wine bar George offers more than 200 wines by the glass, bottle, and ounce. These wines come from acclaimed and well-known wineries and growing regions.
The restaurant’s menu features options to complement every wine, including small plates, cheese boards, and charcuterie boards. You can also try a family-style plate that serves two to four people, including skirt steak, grilled sea bass, and more. We also LOVE the olive oil cake and the Key lime pie. This place has SO MANY great foods!

The restaurant also offers a popular brunch on weekends from 10:30AM to 2PM. The brunch includes starters like Mac & Cheese Bites and Kendall Brook Smoked Salmon, French Toast, Wine Country Omelet, steak and eggs, and Burrata cheese and avocado atop crostini, served with candied bacon. We dream about those Mac & Cheese Bites; they’re HEAVENLY.
