Another major streaming company has teamed up with Disney to bring consumers a massive streaming bundle offer (and it’s pretty enticing)!
We already knew several companies like Warner Brothers Discovery were in talks with key streaming platforms to join forces and offer consumers a competitive bundle of streaming platforms. And it wasn’t too long ago since we saw Disney+ and Hulu merge allowing subscribers for both services to access each other’s content across both platforms. Now, it seems that an attractively priced bundle is the latest to grab our attention of the streaming giants and we have to admit this is one we didn’t think we’d see come to an agreement so soon!
An announcement was made today that another streaming service has been bundled with Disney+. You could already get Disney+ and Hulu bundled together in one set price for both services however, that has now expanded to include Max (formerly HBO Max).
As of July 25th, the new Disney+, Hulu, Max bundle is available in the U.S. with an introductory price of $16.99 per month with ads and $29.99 per month without ads. Although you’ll still be able to see Hulu and Disney+ streamable content shared across each other’s platforms, streaming content through Max will be mostly accessed through its same app with select content from Max accessible through Hulu when opting for no ads with your bundle. Taking a closer look at the no-ads bundle comparison also revealed an advantage of access to downloadable content, too.
This means that if you’re a fan of Max’s House Of The Dragon, Game of Thrones, Friends, The Last Of Us, the DC Universe, new releases from Warner Bros. and A24 along with much more, your billing could have just become much more streamlined. With this new bundle pricing, it’s estimated that subscribers could save up to 38% on the bundle of Hulu, Max, and Disney+ compared to paying individually for the same three streaming services.
According to Deadline, this is the first time we’ve seen separate companies join together to release a single bundled subscription service. However, other streaming giants like Netflix and Prime Video are choosing to keep their own companies streaming services for now, and have decided not to team up with other companies for the foreseeable future. But, as we’ve come to learn, you can’t ever say never so we’re not ones to rule out the possibility of talks down the line for all parties involved once there’s been time to see how this new bundle partnership unfolds for both the companies involved and on the consumer front.
For now, we’re just excited that more of what we like to watch has been streamlined into a bundled service that doesn’t seem too farfetched in pricing for 3 big streaming content libraries.
