Disney Destiny Concept Art Released for Royal Suites and Concierge Staterooms

Alongside a look at the standard staterooms, Disney Cruise Line has released concept art for the Royal Suites and Concierge Staterooms on the upcoming Disney Destiny ship.

Concierge Staterooms

Concierge guests aboard the Disney Destiny will receive a premium level of dedicated service and access to exclusive areas and amenities, including a concierge lounge and private sun deck.

1-Bedroom Verandah

The concept art for the one bedroom verandah features decor themed to “Fantasia.” The concierge verandah staterooms have a different style than the standard staterooms, with bolder, darker colors.

Artistic rendering of a dining area with a round wooden table, four chairs, a modern chandelier, and mirrored wall decoration in the Royal Suites' Concierge Staterooms, featuring a seating area with floor-to-ceiling windows in the background.

It has a separate dining and living area. Both the living space and bedroom have exits to the verandah.

Oceanview Stateroom

A modern concierge stateroom with a large bed, sofa, desk, and balcony overlooking the sea. Concept art adorns the walls, and a coffee table sits in front of the sofa.

The concept art for a concierge oceanview stateroom is themed to “The Incredibles” and has midcentury modern inspired furniture and decor.

Royal Suites

Among the concierge staterooms and suites will be four royal suites inspired by “Hercules” and “The Incredibles,” offering accommodations (and views!) of heroic proportions.

The Incredibles

Modern bathroom in the Royal Suites with dual sink vanity, large mirrors, a freestanding bathtub, corner glass-enclosed shower, and floor-to-ceiling windows offering an ocean view.

Like the above oceanview room, the Royal Suites with “The Incredibles” theming lean heavily into the midcentury modern aesthetic, utilizing the bold contrasts, geometric designs, and rounded edges of the era.

Artist rendering of a modern dining room in the Royal Suites with a glass table, uniquely designed chairs, a contemporary light fixture, curved windows, and abstract art on the walls and floor.

The dining space has a large chandelier and sleek furnishings reminiscent of the Parr family home.

Hercules

Modern bathroom in the Disney Destiny Royal Suites features a freestanding white bathtub, double vanity with gold fixtures, large mirrors, a glass-enclosed shower, and a view of the ocean through floor-to-ceiling windows.

The Hercules-themed Royal Suites have a brighter, lighter palette with shades of white, tan, and blue. Like the other suites, the accents are goldtone.

A modern, elegantly designed dining room with a marble table, teal upholstered chairs, a unique chandelier, built-in shelves, and a curved staircase in the background evokes the luxury of Disney Destiny Royal Suites.

The dining area is similar, with art of Hercules in the living area.

Edna Mode, Merida, and Megara Themed Dining Venues Announced for Disney Destiny Cruise Ship

Several dining venues, in addition to a dinner show, have been announced for the upcoming Disney Destiny cruise ship. The Destiny will be the latest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet when it sails in 2025, following the debut of the Disney Treasure later this year.

Edna Á La Mode Sweets

A lively scene inside a futuristic cafeteria with people enjoying food and drinks. A woman with short hair and glasses, resembling Edna Mode, stands next to a display, while others, including a man in a wheelchair, observe. It feels like an immersive Disney Destiny experience coming to life.

Edna Mode’s lab, where the famed fashion designer from Pixar’s “The Incredibles” films whips up outfits for the world’s most famous Supers, will be transformed into a unique confectionary at the brand-new Edna Á La Mode Sweets aboard the Disney Destiny.

Inspired by the “Auntie Edna” short film, Edna’s sewing equipment will be repurposed as sweet-making devices – and the result is, shall we say… marvelous?!

This dessert spot is sure to be a hit with your family, with handmade gelato, ice cream, cookies, candies and specialty treats served in a space full of bolts of fabric and costume models. And while she never looks back, you might have to do a double-take of the picture-perfect sculptures of both Edna and Jack-Jack — one hard at work, one hungry for “num nums!”

Cafe Merida and Cafe Megara

Just off the Grand Hall — the central hub and gathering space on the Disney Destiny — two casual walk-up cafes will serve a mighty selection of coffee, tea, specialty beverages and snacks. You can fuel up for your heroic ventures onboard at Café Megara, a space that will pay homage to Disney Animation’s “Hercules” with a unique and vibrant “Greco disco” design, or at Café Merida, an area that will be inspired by the flame-haired heroine of Pixar’s “Brave” with its Celtic-centered design.

Stay tuned as more Disney Destiny news is announced through August 1.

Disneyland Cast Member Unions Ratify New Contracts

After a months-wrong battle between Cast Member unions and Disneyland Resort, new three year contracts have been ratified.

Cast Member Union Contracts Ratified

Image featuring various protestors holding signs advocating for Disney workers' rights; text overlay reading "Our Disney Contracts Have Been Ratified!" includes images of signs saying "Mickey Would Want Fair Pay!" and "Disney Workers Rising.

According to a post from @disneyworkersrising on Instagram, the contract agreement is for three years. It comes after the unions had voted in favor of a strike authorization after negotiations fell through. The group represents 14,000 Cast Members.

The post reads:

“Our new three-year contract agreements with Disney have officially been ratified. Thank you for taking the time to vote and ensuring your voice was heard.

Because of our solidarity and commitment to fighting for the contract we all deserve, our historic new contracts include:
A three-year contract!
The biggest wage increases ever! Most cast members will be receiving $6.10 over three years!
Minimum base wage rate of $24 in 2024 (or more for some classifications)
Historic longevity increases for senior cast members
Attendance policy and sick leave improvements that give cast members more opportunities to attend to personal issues without fearing discipline
New premiums for cast members

This victory is a direct result of us showcasing our power at the bargaining table and in the parks.

Every meeting we attended, rally we participated in, petition we signed, and button we wore forced Disney to recognize our power and enabled us to reach this historic agreement. The solidarity and record participation we achieved in this fight means we are that much stronger for our next contract campaign. And that campaign starts now.

Look at what we have accomplished this year, and imagine what we can do when we have three years to get even stronger before we come back to the bargaining table and sit across from Disney. We are absolutely stronger together, so continue to stay engaged with your stewards, fellow cast members and your union.

If you have any questions about the new contracts, please do not hesitate to reach out to your stewards, union representatives, or bargaining committee members.

In Solidarity,

Your Disney Workers Rising Bargaining Committee”
