First Look at Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs Menu at Disney’s BoardWalk

On a recent visit to Disney’s BoardWalk, we noticed a new Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs menu installed at the location.

Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs Menu

A concession stand on a boardwalk is partially obscured by large, mobile planters with shrubbery. An auto draft sign is visible in the foreground.

At the end of June, we reported that construction walls around Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs were finally down at Disney’s Boardwalk. On a recent visit, we discovered rolling planters around the location. However, one was ajar, which allowed us to catch a glimpse of the menu for the new location set to open at some point this year.

A menu displayed on a board among greenery features various gourmet corn dogs, lemonade flavors, cotton candy, and combo deals, with images and prices listed for each item. The layout seems like an auto draft of delightful offerings sure to tempt any passerby.

The menu, which was previously announced to be similar to Blue Ribbon Corn Dog in Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort, features five different kinds of corn dogs. There is the Classic Dog, Pickle Dog, Kid’s Dog, Mexican Street Dog, and Golden Dragon. The Kid’s Dog is $10.50, the Classic Dog is $12.50, and the remaining items are $15.50.

The location will also feature made-to-order cotton candy. Pink Vanilla cotton candy will cost $8 and pineapple will cost $9. Lemon and strawberry lemonade will also be available. 16-ounce drinks will cost $7 and 32-ounce drinks will cost $9. The location will also feature a “meal deal” where guests can add lemonade to any corndog and get $2 off their purchase. The final items on the menu are Dasani water for $5 and energy drinks for $6.

What do you think of the Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs menu? Let us know in the comments.

An accident at Walt Disney World resulted in the Disney Tram Services being shut down. An SUV somehow got stuck on the barriers outside Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

If I Were You, I’d Avoid Magic Kingdom on These 4 Days in February

If you are thinking about visiting Disney World in February, you may want to avoid Magic Kingdom.

Magic Kingdom

February tends to be a slower season at Disney World, but is there really even a slow season in Disney World anymore? Winter break is over, and fewer families are taking vacations since kids are back in school, but it could be different in February of 2025.

February has two holidays: Valentine’s Day is on Friday, February 14th, and President’s Day is on Monday, February 17th.

Happy Valentine’s Day from Mickey and Minnie

This means that this upcoming February will have a four-day weekend, which means that people could take this as an opportunity to visit Disney World over the long weekend.

Clarabelle and Horace

Magic Kingdom tends to be the more popular park, and during a long weekend, we can expect to see crowds in Magic Kingdom. Last year, we saw did not see crowds on the initial President’s Day holiday, but instead saw them two days after, which could mean that there could still be crowds after the holiday weekend is over, because right after the holiday weekend, another popular Disney World event takes place.

Crowds at Magic Kingdom

After the long weekend, people will be coming to Disney World to participate in the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, which takes place from February 20th to 24th.

You can expect higher crowd levels in the parks, as runners will most likely flock to the parks after their races. You can also expect certain roads to be closed during race weekend to accommodate the race route and ensure the runners’ safety. When it gets closer to race weekend, we will make sure to update you on any potential road closures.

Princess Half Marathon Weekend (2023)

While a four-day weekend is a great excuse to visit Disney World and be prepared for larger crowds, don’t worry; we have plenty of tips to help you beat the crowds and still enjoy your day in the parks!

Magic Kingdom Crowds

Remember to book advance dining reservations, which can be made up to 60 days before your trip. Speaking of food, while you are in the parks, remember to utilize Mobile Order to save time waiting in line

One of our best tips for beating the crowds in Magic Kingdom is to leave during lunch. Yep! You heard that right! Take the Resort Monorail and head to a Monorail hotel to have lunch. There are so many great options, and it is a good way for you to take a break from the crowds and get some AC!

Please stand clear of the doors. Por favor manténgase alejado de las puertas.

Disney World’s skip-the-line system has just changed, and if you are a resort guest, you will be able to make your Lightning Lane Multi and Single Pass selections seven days in advance! If you are not staying at a Disney World resort, you can make selections three days in advance. By reserving your Lighting Lane selections in advance, you can get a head start on the crowds.

Disney World Lightning Lanes have CHANGED

We will say that crowds have started to become unpredictable, so just keep in mind that February 2025 has both a four-day weekend and a race weekend at Disney World while you are making your plans. As always, stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news, updates, and tips!

This Is Easily the Best New Thing to Do in Magic Kingdom Right Now

There is a new character in Magic Kingdom!

Magic Kingdom

If you stroll the streets of Liberty Square, you may know about the doll in the window and the boy that we nicknamed “Tomato Baby” in Liberty Tree Tavern. Well, now there is a new character in town, but similar to the doll and “Tomato Baby,” this character is not the typical walk-around character that you may be used to meeting in the park.

Liberty Square is home to the Haunted Mansion, the Liberty Square Riverboat, the Hall of Presidents, and, of course, the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe. At the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe, you can get ears and celebration buttons personalized for a small fee. We love to upgrade our celebration buttons here as it makes for a cheap and fun souvenir to take home to remember your trip! You can also find ornaments here, and certain ones can also be personalized for a fee. This is also a perfect place to visit if you need to feel the Christmas spirit year-round!

Upgrade your button!

Now, the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe has a new resident living right above the gift shop!

Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe

Recently, when we were visiting Magic Kingdom, we noticed someone up in the window—it was Ichabod Crane!

Hey, Ichabod!

If you don’t know who Ichabod Crane is, we are here to introduce you! Ichabod Crane is the main character from the 1949 short film The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, which is fitting because you can visit Sleepy Hollow Refreshments right across the way from the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe. Here, you can find funnel cakes and different Mickey waffles, except we really do miss the waffle sandwiches that were once served here.

Mr. Crane

Ichabod Crane also starred in the 1949 film The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. While Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride no longer exits Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, you can still ride the attraction in Disneyland. Mr. Toad does have representation in Liberty Square, and you can find him in the pet cemetery of the Haunted Mansion!

If you are looking to catch Ichabod Crane, we timed it and found that he comes on about every five minutes. The show goes on for about a minute and 40 seconds before he disappears. This is a continuous experience.

We noticed that when the window starts to glow blue, the projector is turning on which means Ichabod Crane’s arrival is imminent.

Blue glow from the projector

We are so happy that Disney is continuing to add small details like this throughout the parks. It keeps the magic alive and is a fun new experience for visitors to walk by! We were sure excited to see him pop up!

Ichabod Crane

So, if you are headed to the Haunted Mansion or are stopping by Liberty Tree Tavern for a delicious American-esque Thanksgiving meal, then make sure to stop and say hello to Ichabod Crane! As always, stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news, tips, and tricks!

I Am Shocked (and Grateful) That Disney Let These 2 Characters Into a Park

Deadpool & Wolverine have taken over the internet and media.

©Marvel Studios

The two unlikely friends have teamed up to bring us one fantastic movie. The new chapter of Deadpool hit theaters on July 26th as the first time both characters have been part of Disney since Disney purchased 20th Century Fox. Both of these guys are unlikely Disney characters as they’re, ah, rough around the edges, and you might not expect to see them in any Disney park soon. However, that’s EXACTLY where we found both Deadpool and Wolverine — Disney California Adventure (and boy, was it worth it)!

Over in Disneyland Resort at Disney California Adventure, Disney has introduced a new, limited-time show: ‘Story Time with Deadpool’. At first thought, you may wonder if this R-rated character would be a good choice for story time in a kid-friendly Disney park, and we were right there with you wondering the same thing.

Story Time with Deadpool

When this new show was announced, Disney stated, “From his favorite cozy reading chair, guests can join Deadpool as he reads from his big book of super special stories. These family-friendly tales delight, charm, and inspire in the way only Deadpool can. And keep an eye out for Wolverine who may be dropping by ‘Story Time with Deadpool.’” And sure enough, we got to hear these stories from Wade Wilson himself!

We were thoroughly impressed by Deadpool and this 12-minute show, as we should have assumed we would be. There were lots of Marvel and Disney jokes, but the whole thing was kid-friendly just like Disney promised. It was pretty funny and entertaining, and we were excited to see that Wolverine did make an appearance!

Wolverine came out too!

The area was crowded, as lots of people hoped to hear these stories. While the show lasted less than 15 minutes, we would recommend getting there 45 minutes to an hour early to grab a good spot. Those at the front of the audience were asked to take seats around 10 minutes before show time. If you’re fine with standing in the back, then getting there 15 minutes early is perfectly fine.

There were a lot of people there!

Since Story Time with Deadpool is a show, you aren’t able to meet Deadpool and Wolverine during it. They did show up in Avengers Campus about an hour later where you could see them again a little more up close.

Deadpool and Wolverine in Avengers Campus

The two characters may be found roaming around Avengers Campus for a limited time, so if these are your two favorite Marvel characters, head to Disney California Adventure soon! You may be able to meet them or see them in their show.

Be sure to head to a theater near you to see the new movie and all the excitement it has in store! For more Disney news, keep following DFB!
