We recently stopped by Refreshment Outpost in World Showcase at EPCOT to try the new DOLE Whip Pineapple and Chery Swirl.

DOLE Whip Pineapple and Cherry Swirl – $6.75

This new DOLE whip was very refreshing, especially when enjoying it in the Florida heat. The cherry flavor was unique and we loved it for the first few bites. However, the more we ate it, the more the artificiality of the flavor started to creep up on us. While this was a bit disappointing, the original pineapple flavor does a great job of balancing the cherry.

The edible flower and detailed pink cone are both nice from a visual perspective, but neither adds to the flavor of the treat. The cone had a standard flavor, while the edible flower tasted like sweet salad greens. We would avoid eating the edible flower the next time we got this treat.

Since this item is served in a cone instead of a cup, guests will need to eat it quickly before it melts. That being said, this treat is worth a visit to Refreshment Outpost.

DOLE Whip fans should also try the Orange Bird Cone and Orange Bird Float that debuted at Swirls on the Water at Disney Springs in early July.
