A new rumor suggests that the Haunted Mansion will reopen from its extended closure this week at Disneyland Park with its Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay. We previously reported a rumor that the ride would open ahead of schedule.
Haunted Mansion Holiday Opening Early at Disneyland
The Haunted Mansion closed to guests earlier this year on January 22 to make way for its grounds expansion, and now sources indicate that the ride is aiming to reopen on Friday, July 26, 2024 as Haunted Mansion Holiday.
As with any rumor, this is not confirmed and the timing for reopening of the ride could change at any time. Disney has not yet confirmed a specific reopening date but indicated it would return in time for the Halloween season this fall — which starts earlier than ever before on August 23. Haunted Mansion Holiday has historically opened around September 1.
Disney has previously stated that Haunted Mansion Holiday will reopen to guests via virtual queue only, as the attraction’s queue is still under construction.
Other recent rumors for the attraction indicate that the hanging corpse will be covered, that Constance Hatchaway will be replaced as the Bride, and the physical Hitchhiking Ghosts mirror effect at the end of the ride will become digital projections.
Stay tuned for more updates as the rumored reopening date approaches.
