Country Bear Jamboree closed in January so Disney could open the reimagined Country Bear Musical Jamboree — a new show with our favorite Bears as they sing classic Disney songs with bluegrass, pop-country, Americana, and rockabilly twists.

While we’ve spotted plenty of Easter eggs and nods to the original show in the new version, we wanted to take a deep dive into what’s changed — so let’s check it out!

We hope you’re ready for a rockabilly good time because the NEW Country Bear Musical Jamboree is officially opening on July 17th! We got the chance to check out the show before it opens and thought it was such a great time. But, much of the show has changed (for the better, if you ask us!) and we’re taking a look at those changes now.

First up, Henry is still around, but sporting a new outfit as the master of bear-amonies. He’s now sporting a cowboy hat and suit with a bolo tie instead of his tophat!

The Five Bear Rugs — Zeb, Zeke, Fred, Ted, and Tennessee — have had an outfit change as well and they’re now all wearing matching blue bandanas and hats.

Bunny, Bubbles, and Beulah have traded their bonnets for pink cowgirl hats and more frilly western attire…

…and Trixie has gone from her blue look to this pink one that’s giving major The Judds vibes.

Teddi Beara is still swinging from the skies, but instead of a pink look, she’s now donning a new pink hat with a blue feather boa — and quite the extravagant-looking necklace.

Our pal Wendell no longer wears a bowler hat and blue bandana, instead, he’s donning a cowboy hat and vest — but he’s still playing!

Ernest’s new outfit looks just like Bert from Mary Poppins, which is fitting since he performs “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” in the new show.

You might recognize Terrance as the artist formerly known as Shaker, who now wears a dirty-looking cowboy hat, green vest, and bolo tie.

If you’re looking for Liver Lips McGrowl, you won’t find him. Instead, Romeo McGrowl is all the rage — and he’s been remodeled into an Elvis-style character complete with fringe on his sleeves.

Don’t worry, Gomer the piano player is looking good — maybe he dyed his fur at the bear salon?

It wouldn’t be the Country Bears without Big Al, and while much of his look remains the same — albeit a bit fresher looking — he no longer sings “Blood on the Saddle,” from the original show. Well, he starts to as a joke before going into “Remember Me” from Coco.

In addition to the bears that have gotten a bit of a refresh, the songs have been updated too! We’re now treated to classic Disney songs with bluegrass, pop-country, Americana, and rockabilly twists. There are plenty of songs you might recognize:

• “Country Bear Musical Jamboree” sung by the Five Bear Rugs
• Bunny, Bubbles, and Beulah with Trixie singing “Try Everything” from Zootopia
• Romeo McGrowl singing an Elvis-type rendition of “Kiss the Girl” from The Little Mermaid
• Ernest doing a solo fiddle of “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” from Mary Poppins
• “A Whole New World” from Aladdin by Teddy Barra and Wendell
• “A Bit of A Fixer Upper” from Frozen by Terrance
• Big Al (tries to) sing “Remember Me” from Coco but also teases like he’s going to start singing “Blood on the Saddle,” from the original show
• “You’ve Got a Friend In Me” from Toy Story sung by Rufus and Sammy
• “The Bear Necessities” from The Jungle Book is the closing song
• “Come Again (Come On In)” is still the exit song — like the original show — sung by Rufus, Sammy, Melvin, Buff, and Max

So, while it’s clear there have been some significant changes to this iconic Magic Kingdom show, we think you just might end up liking them. Of course, we love the original attractions, but we think this new version of the Country Bears will have both adults and kiddos grooving in their seats. Plus, it’s an air-conditioned break from the parks where you get to sit down — so really, what’s not to love?
