When you’re driving through Disney World, you see all kinds of things that you don’t see on a normal highway. You might spot a Skyliner gondola above your car. You might see fireworks in the distance. You could even see a giant Mickey-shaped solar farm! Point is, you never know what you might see on the road. Be alert!

During a recent visit to Disney World, we spotted something BIG on the road. It might look familiar — especially if you’ve ever visited Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. Wanna see?
OK, first, we need to give you some context. Disney recently debuted some new Disney Vacation Club Cabins at Fort Wilderness, and these sleek, modern new cabins take the place of the old log cabin-style houses you might have seen in the past. Here’s a peek at the OLD design. This type of cabin is no longer available in Disney World.
Old Fort Wilderness Cabin
Instead, Disney has replaced them with over 350 refreshed cabins. The new cabins are “inspired by the resort’s idyllic setting, while also paying homage to the resort’s unique culture and heritage through the magic of Disney storytelling.” Each one sleeps up to six adults and features one bedroom, one bathroom, a living room, a full kitchen, and a private patio. Disney went out with the old and in with the new — literally! We noticed that the old cabins were up for sale and could be delivered anywhere within a 200-mile radius. Yes, really. In fact, we spotted several cabins available to purchase for $49,900.

Now, that brings us all up to speed. Take a look at what we saw on the road in Disney World! It’s an old Fort Wilderness Cabin, driving down the road. Goodbye, old friend! Look at it go.
You don’t see that every day!
Clearly, Disney is still in the process of getting rid of the old cabins. One was even seen near the Grand Canyon! Bet you didn’t expect to see an old Disney World hotel room in the middle of the road, huh?
Talk about an oversized load!
