CommuniCore Hall Temporarily Closed Ahead of 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival

Guests at EPCOT won’t be able to visit CommuniCore Hall for a few days, as the location is temporarily closed ahead of the 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.

CommuniCore Hall Temporarily Closed

Exterior view of CommuniCore Hall reveals its striking geometric wall design, framed beautifully by a lush palm tree under a partly cloudy sky.

As Cast Members prepare for the return of the annual Food & Wine festival, CommuniCore Hall has been temporarily closed to transform the flexible space. It’s likely that the space will host some sort of offering for Food & Wine, be it exhibits, seminars, or something else.

We confirmed with Cast Members that CommuniCore Hall will be closed through August 28, 2024, and will reopen on August 29 with the kickoff of the 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.

CommuniCore Hall initially opened to the public on June 10, 2024, marking the completion of the years-long reimagining of EPCOT. Inside, guests can meet Mickey and his pals and enjoy the central flex space (and its air-conditioning). Outside in CommuniCore Plaza, guests can find a performance stage, some shade, and the Festival Favorites booth. The building also comes to life at night with its illuminated triangle panel exterior.

We reviewed the entire location once it fully opened to the public, and determined that while it is certainly functional for EPCOT, it is not the most beautiful space. Perhaps our opinions could change once we see what CommuniCore Hall is like during a festival.
