D23 Sorcerer Mickey Hat to Feature 15,023 Swarovski Crystals

The disneyd23 Instagram account has shared a first look at the Sorcerer Mickey hat that will be displayed at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

A large D23 logo sculpture featuring a Sorcerer Mickey Hat with a moon and star design adorned with Swarovski Crystals is displayed outdoors against a background of buildings and power lines.

The Sorcerer Mickey hat is still being built in a warehouse, but a first look at the structure was shared ahead of its completion. The huge blue hat features a star and moon. A large “D23” has been attached to the bottom of the front of the hat. Each of these symbols is loaded with Swarovski crystals which will help the structure shimmer as it welcomes guests to the event.

In all, the hat will have 15,023 Swarovski crystals when it’s displayed at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, California from August 9-11. The structure will be located in the Grand Plaza outside of the Anaheim Convention Center.
