Walt Disney World
Magic Kingdom
- Rumors indicate that The Rivers of America, Liberty Square Riverboat, and Tom Sawyer Island may close forever for the Magic Kingdom expansion.
- Walt Disney World is expanding the accessible parking at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), which serves the Magic Kingdom.

- A new ear headband featuring Maleficent in her dragon form has made its way to Magic Kingdom for the Halloween season.
EPCOT

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- At D23: The Ultimate Fan Event, Disney announced that new interactive shoulder Banshees with upgraded tech and features will be coming to Pandora – The World of Avatar in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
- Disney has revealed the first animal that will be featured on the carousel in Pueblo Esperanza, a new Tropical Americas land in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
- A model of Pueblo Esperanza was put on display at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
- Some of the quick breakfast options of Disney’s Animal Kingdom have moved around and changed, so we decided to review them on a recent morning visit to the park.
Disneyland Resort
- During the “Magic Happens” Parade at Disneyland, the “Frozen” float crashed into a curb, exposing one of its wheels.
- During the Disney Experiences Showcase of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney confirmed the name and details of their new Avengers Campus multiverse attraction featuring King Thanos, coming soon to Disney California Adventure.
- D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event displayed concept art and models of the new “Avatar” land coming soon to Disney California Adventure.
- Critter Country at Disneyland will get a new name when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens later this year.
Disneyland Paris
- Disneyland Park at Disneyland Paris will get a brand new nighttime spectacular in January 2025.
- Details of the Pride Lands were revealed in the model on display at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
- The new “Lion King”-inspired Pride Lands have been added to the Disney Adventure World model on display at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
Disney Cruise Line
- A video at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event provides a first look at an ofrenda that will be on display in Plaza de Coco, a “Coco”-themed restaurant on Disney Cruise Line’s new Disney Treasure.
Entertainment and Media
- Composer Michael Giacchino shared a snippet of his score for “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” during the Music of Marvel panel at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
- At D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event it was announced that Continental championships for the hugely popular Disney Lorcana trading card game will be coming to Disney Parks and Resorts around the globe.
- The Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger commented on “Moana 2,” coming this November, and the possibility of “Inside Out 3” in the future.
- Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, revealed that “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” is heavily inspired by the optimism of the 1964 New York World’s Fair.
- Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, two of the writers on Marvel Studios’ smash hit, “Deadpool and Wolverine,” have revealed that the film originally had a scene that was to feature all of the Avengers.
Disney+
- The trailer for the Disney+ original series ‘Star Wars: Skeleton Crew’ has been released, and it appears that a character familiar to Disney Parks fans is going to be in the show.
- Disney has released a first look at the new “Wizards of Waverly Place” sequel series “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.” It is set to premiere later this year.
Universal Studios
- Crews have installed more concrete bases and track supports for the Fast and Furious Hollywood Drift roller-coaster at Universal Studios Hollywood.
- Universal Orlando Resort has released a video showing off some of the new costumes that Team Members will wear at Epic Universe.
- Universal has opened the seasonal experience allowing guests to get their photo displayed in the next Universal Studios Florida Tribute Store.
- New props in Sahara Traders, the Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride exit gift shop, tease the Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store and scare zones.
- More theming was added to Torture Faire, Cafe La Bamba for Halloween Horror Nights 33.
- More new Halloween Horror Nights 33 merchandise has arrived at Universal Orlando Resort.
- In a recent interview on the Discover Universal podcast, Universal Creative revealed new details about the story and nighttime light show of Celestial Park, the central land of Epic Universe.
