Extra, extra, read all about it! Seriously, we’re sure Disney World hasn’t had a wink of sleep because they’ve dropped so many new updates this week. If you’ve missed out, this is your chance to catch up!

I’m back again with another round of WHAT’S NEW UPDATES AT DISNEY WORLD, a rundown on all the epic news and updates that happened at Disney World this past week. This week, we got the 4-1-1 on a popular Disney World hotel receiving a MAJOR Award, Gideon’s sharing a TASTY update, and NEW snacks coming to Disney World this month! Are y’all ready? Okay, let’s go!

Two Disney World hotels just received a MAJOR honor!

In 2024, The Swan & Dolphin complex was named Marriott’s U.S. and Canada 2023 Hotel of the Year!

The Swan & Dolphin took to their Instagram account to discuss the honor, writing, “It truly takes a village to achieve this recognition, and it only happens because of our outstanding cast members and fantastic leaders, all working together to deliver those ‘Magical’ moments for our guests,” adding, “Thank you to everyone who made this award possible, and to our guests for your continued support. Here’s to creating even more magical moments together!”

The latest recognition is another in a long series of honors that have been awarded to the Swan & Dolphin, including a Condé Nast Travelers citation from their Readers’ Choice Awards, a Four Diamond Award from AAA, the Community Serve Award from Starwood Hotels and Resorts NAD, the Best Hotel Pool Award from Meeting South Magazine, Best Local Resort from Orlando Magazine, and the Hotel of the Year Award from ITT Sheraton. Whew! That’s a lot of awards!

The Swan & Dolphin Resort features several amenities, including several amazing restaurants and lounges, cozy guest rooms, the Mandara Spa, six pools, complimentary transportation throughout Disney World, early entry to all four theme parks daily, and extended evening theme park hours on select nights in select theme parks.

We think the Swan & Dolphin truly deserves this acknowledgment!

We Don’t Like This Gideon’s Bakehouse Update in Disney World…We LOVE It!

Gideon’s Bakehouse has released its limited-time menu offerings for August, inspired by the ongoing celebration of Flavors of Florida at Disney Springs, and we’re HYPED!

Look out for the seasonal  Key Lime Chocolate Chip Cookie this month! Gideon’s popular Vanilla Bean Cookie Dough gets a zesty twist with Florida Key Lime Juice, loaded with Chocolate Chips, and sprinkled with Key Lime Pie Crumbs. It’s like a chocolate-dipped Key Lime Pie on a stick—but in cookie form. YUM!

This cookie is available every day of August at both Gideon’s locations and is limited to two cookies per person!⁣ Oh, and if you’re looking for more Key Lime treats, you might want to check out the Key Lime Pie Cake Bars. These scrumptious-looking bars feature three layers of key lime cake, filled with tangy key lime curd, and topped with both key lime cream cheese frosting and a new graham cracker buttercream.

These cake bars will be available until August 11th at both locations and in limited quantities. Finally, we have to talk about the Key Lime Graham Cracker Cake — a fresh take on the classic Key Lime Pie Cake — now with a Limited-Edition twist! This cake is stacked with three layers of Key Lime Cake, slathered with TWO delicious-sounding frostings: Key Lime Cream Cheese and a new Graham Cracker Buttercream. Plus, Key Lime Curd is in between each layer!

This one is available every Wednesday and Saturday in August at both locations. Limited to two per person while supplies last! To wash it all down, pick up the  Orange Mocha Nitro Cold Brew, too. If you’re a fan of the Orange Mocha Nitro Cold Brew that debuted last month, good news for you: it will remain on the menu all through August! This is one treat, though, that is only available at the Disney Springs location.
