The Little League team from Lake Mary, Florida, celebrated their Little League World Series victory as Grand Marshals before the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom on Thursday.
Little League World Series Champions Celebrate
Yesterday, Disney announced that the Little League World Series champions would be honored at 1:30 p.m. ahead of the 2 p.m. Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade.
Today, the team got to join Mickey, Donald, and Goofy during a special cavalcade. To begin the festivities, an orange banner was carried down Main Street, U.S.A. It read, “Walt Disney World celebrates Lake Mary Little League Little League Baseball World Series Champions.”
A car with some of the team’s coaches, a few players in their uniforms, and Mickey Mouse in a pinstripe baseball uniform and blue and red ball cap followed the banner. The team’s head coach held up a “Little League Baseball World Series Champion 2024” plaque to show off to onlookers.
The second float featured even more players from the baseball team and Goofy and Donald Duck in their baseball uniforms. The Lake Mary players not only wore their jerseys from the Little League World Series, but they also sported Mickey Mouse ear hats.
Lake Mary is located just north of Orlando. The team was crowned 2024 Little League World Series champions after defeating Chinese-Taipei 2-1 in the title game.
