The San Francisco Candy Factory in Universal Studios Florida has become the Major Sweets Candy Company for Halloween Horror Nights 33. The store is just down the street from the Major Sweets Candy Factory house. The house is a prequel to the Sweet Revenge scare zone featuring Major Sweets from HHN 31.
Major Sweets Candy Company
The San Francisco Candy Factory is located next to Chez Alcatraz. The columns around the entrance now feature faded “Major Sweets” banners. The marquee features a banner reading “Major Sweets Candy Co.”
Next to the entrance is a cart stacked with crates. More crates, barrels, and pumpkins are to the side.
On the front of the cart is an orange panel “Sweets to DIE for!” and “Ask about our factory tours TODAY!” The Major Sweets logo, featuring the man himself winking, is at the center.
The largest crate features a version of the San Francisco Candy Factory sign that instead reads “Major Sweets Candy Company.” There are vines of red and orange leaves draped around the crates.
The pumpkins have seen better days.
The Major Sweets logo is on the back of the cart, too.
Above the entrance doors is a striped panel with a big yellow “S” on a purple and orange lollipop. Large Major Sweets logo decals are at either side of the doors.
Inside, orange and black ribbons stretch across the ceiling. Between the ribbons are bunting with orange, purple, and black flags.
There are Major Sweets props atop the merchandise displays. The store still sells standard Universal merchandise, like Minions merch.
Across the tops of the displays are black strips of paneling featuring white, orange, and purple diamonds. Giant Major Sweets lollipops are in the boxes above. There are also candy bars and buttered discs.
In one corner, a Major Sweets decal is on a brick wall. More ribbons and bunting hang around the space. There are crates with rotten pumpkins on the sides, making this the perfect photo op.
Major Sweets has one gold tooth and a black top hat. The hat is decorated with a green lollipop, a Lil’ Boo lollipop, a piece of candy corn, and an orange ribbon.
Half-circle bunting hangs above a counter.
The bulk candy signage has been updated to match the Major Sweets decor.
There are giant pops with green wrappers, resembling the lollipop on Major Sweets’ hat.
More autumn leaves and strips of burlap decorate the displays.
“Major Sweets Candy Co.” is painted on a black door.
A green sign next to the door advertises “Gristle-Filled Gumballs.” The tagline is “Genuine meaty gristle in every chew.” Yummy.
At the counter, the case of fresh roasted nuts also has updated Major Sweets signage.
A rolling case is decorated with white, purple, and orange gears.
“Major Sweets Candy Co.” is printed on both sides of the case.
The shop is offering Major Sweets-themed candy as well as Major Sweets merchandise.
A mannequin has received a black bowler hat with an orange ribbon, reminiscent of Major Sweets’ top hat.
The mannequin wears an apron with a Major Sweets Candy Company lapel pin.
The black apron features the Major Sweets logo.
Behind the confectionary case are two Major Sweets banners. One features the name of the company, plus “Sweetness Satisfaction GUARANTEED!” and “What makes us better? That’s a SECRET!” Of course, as we learned in the Sweet Revenge scare zone, the candy of Major Sweets turns kids into crazed killers.
The second banner behind the case is a portrait of Major Sweets.
There are more Major Sweets-branded candies in baskets behind the counter. These giant lollipops, buttered discs, and bars are not actually available for purchase. Guests can, however, purchase Major Sweets cherry berry mix, freeze-dried candies, and chocolate bars with bourbon flavoring.
A poster on the wall next to Major Sweets’ portrait advertises the chocolate bars. “If it’s not Sweet, it’s not Major Sweets!” the poster declares. It resembles a vintage 1950s advertisement. The Major Sweets scare zone and house are set in the ’50s.
Another poster is for Mr. Icy Cones, “sweet & snowy cones of sugar!”
One more retro ad is for Gooey Chews — “They’re Mm Mm Good!”
The cash wrap is decorated with another Major Sweets Candy Co. panel.
There is a “Miss Treats Bake Shoppe” sign above some of the shop’s baked goods. Miss Treats is the wife of Major Sweets, known for her bright pink hair.
