The fan-favorite Mickey’s “Boo To You” Halloween Parade is back for another year of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary-Halloween-Party at Magic Kingdom.
Mickey’s ‘Boo-To-You’ Halloween Parade
The Halloween parade steps off in Frontierland, travels through Liberty Square, passes in front of Cinderella Castle, and then finishes its run down Main Street, U.S.A. On Main Street, Max leads a Powerline dance party before the parade arrives.
This pre-parade debuted in 2022. Max, dressed up as Powerline, is joined by dancers as they perform “Stand Out” and “I2I” from “A Goofy Movie.” Guests are invited onto the street to dance for a few minutes.
The parade is preceded through the park by the Headless Horseman, weather permitting. He rides a real horse while carrying his jack-o’-lantern head.
The parade officially begins with a Mickey’s “Boo-To-You” Halloween Parade sign pushed by two Cast Members. These performers have new costumes this year: purple dresses with green spiderweb-embroidered capes.
The sign is followed by a group of classic Disney characters including Pluto, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Alice, the Mad Hatter, Rapunzel, Flynn, Aladdin, and Jasmine.
They have themed masks on sticks. Pooh bear, for example, has a homemade-looking heffalump mask. Rapunzel has a Pascal mask and Flynn has a Maximus mask.
Mickey and Donald are at the front of the first float. Donald wears a superhero costume.
Mickey is not in his new meet-and-greet costume.
Minnie, Daisy, and Clarabelle are dressed as the Sanderson Sisters at the top of the float, which is decorated with autumnal garland and lights.
Chip and Dale are at the back of the float. Dale is dressed as a vampire while Chip is a pirate.
Speaking of pirates, “Peter Pan” characters mark the start of the pirates unit. Peter, Wendy, Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, lost boys, and pirates all dance together.
They’re followed by Tinker Bell atop a giant treasure chest overflowing with gold.
More pirates follow, spinning flags. The next float is a Pirates of the Caribbean-inspired pirate ship. Captain Barbossa stands at the front.
Jack Sparrow is at the ship’s wheel. Angelica (from “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides”) has been replaced with an accordion-playing pirate.
A group of butlers dancing with shovels leads the Haunted Mansion unit. Cover your ears or suffer the sound of shovels scraping on the pavement. The butlers are followed by a small float featuring headstones, including Madame Leota’s.
Pairs of ghosts waltz around Constance Hatchaway, the Haunted Mansion’s murderous bride.
Constance literally floats, her wedding dress glowing blue. She holds a red rose bouquet.
The three Hitchhiking Ghosts jive on a float inspired by the entrance to the Haunted Mansion. The railings are draped with cobwebs and vines.
A group of scarecrows leads a hoedown section. Goofy waves from a silo float, which has a new “Halloween Hoedown” banner.
Goofy wears overalls with a candy corn patch.
On the ground after Goofy’s float are a few dancers, including two Country Bears: Big Al and Wendell. They’re in their new Country Bear Musical Jamboree costumes.
There used to be more Country Bears in this section but they didn’t all get new meet-and-greet suits.
The unit has been filled out with Horace Horsecollar and some chicken dancers.
Clara Cluck is in the barn-inspired float.
The candy unit begins with a Sugar Rush delivery truck. Ralph from “Wreck-It Ralph” stands in the passenger seat.
Ralph was missing from last year’s parade. After his truck are several Sugar Rush characters dancing with light-up batons.
Vanellope Von Schweetz rounds out the candy section, driving a giant candy machine.
The final unit of the parade features Disney Villains, led by Ursula, Flotsam, and Jetsam. Cruella de Vil, Horace, and Jasper are in a white car.
Then comes the Queen of Hearts with her red and black playing cards.
A skeletal band plays the famous “It’s Good to be Bad” theme song from the next float.
Pain and Panic are on the back of the float. A group of villains including Oogie Boogie, Dr. Facilier, Gaston, and Lady Tremaine dance before the final float.
Chernabog towers over the villains on this dark castle-inspired float. Jafar and Maleficent are at the front.
The Evil Queen ends the parade with her magic mirror.
