Iconic Southern California institution Porto’s Bakery announced a new location at Downtown Disney back in 2022 in the former home of La Brea Bakery,. However, we haven’t heard much news since then, and some have assumed the new location was not going to happen. Many had proclaimed the move dead. However, Porto’s confirmed in a release today that the popular cafe and bakery is in fact, moving forward with their new, 7th location at the Disneyland Resort in 2025.
Rosa Porto and her family started Porto’s out of their home, eventually growing to six locations in Southern California. They are known for their unique Cuban dishes, both sweet and savory, like guava and cheese strudel, cheese rolls, empanadas and cakes. Now they are modernizing their operations in preparation for the move with new digital ordering systems.
According to the company, Porto’s took the number one spot on “Yelp’s Top 100 Places to Eat in the US.” In 2021 Porto’s Bakery was voted Best Bakery in the Southland, according to the Los Angeles Times.

In honor of the 60th anniversary of Walt Disney’s timeless classic Mary Poppins, Disney has released a special edition ear headband, capturing the essence of the beloved film. This exclusive collectible is part of the D23 Mary Poppins 60th Anniversary Collection, making it a must-have for Disney fans and collectors alike. “Mary Poppins” celebrates 60 years since its release this year, and this new ear headband inspired by Mary’s Jolly Holiday dress has reached Walt Disney World.
These ears were among the merchandise initially released at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
The ear headband is white with red ribbon accents, and an enamel penguin charm resting at the center of the headband’s red bow.
Upon closer inspection, the ears also feature white lace accents that complement the red ribbon bows. The large red bow at the center is paired with white stripes and additional white lace accents.
The sides of the headband are white with red ribbons woven throughout.
The back of the headband features the same pattern as the red bow with white stripes in the center. The headband itself is lined with red non-slip velour.
This headband celebrates the 60th anniversary of Mary Poppins, which premiered at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on August 27, 1964.
As a part of this exclusive collection, the Mary Poppins themed ear headband not only serves as a fashionable accessory but also as a commemorative item for fans who cherish the magic of Disney’s Mary Poppins.
These ears were found in Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Celebrity 5&10.
