Avengers Campus Multiverse King Thanos Ride Name & Details Announced

During the Disney Experiences Showcase of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney confirmed the name and details of their new Avengers Campus multiverse attraction featuring King Thanos, coming soon to Disney California Adventure.

Avengers Campus E-Ticket Attraction

A group of people, including families with children, walk towards the entrance of "Avengers: Infinity Defense" attraction in a sunny, futuristic Avengers Campus setting with vibrant lighting and greenery.

The name of the ride is Avengers: Infinity Defense.

Ant-Man, in a huge size, breaks through a glass ceiling at Avengers Campus as Iron Man and civilians are on the ground below. The scene is intense with lots of action and destruction. "Avengers: Infinity Defense" logo is at the bottom.

The wall next to Avengers Headquarters will come down and guests will assemble with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes for a multiverse mission. It will impact the whole story of the campus.

Amid an explosion, a green-skinned character clashes with enemies while futuristic ships and buildings loom in the background. The image, branded with "Avengers: Infinity Defense," evokes the excitement of visiting Avengers Campus.

When guests arrive at Avengers Campus, they will find out that some of Stark’s new multiverse-jumping tech has landed in the hands of King Thanos. Guests will join iconic heroes at locations like Asgard, Wakanda, and New York City.

A heavily armored figure holding a glowing blue sword stands amid ruins with a large staircase and shattered structures in the background. The setting is dark and misty, invoking a sense of destruction, reminiscent of battles that could have taken place in an Avengers Campus.
An expansive view of Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure, featuring various attractions, buildings, and a spaceship-like vehicle with a futuristic design captures the essence of Marvel's universe seamlessly.

Construction will start next year. The size of Avengers Campus will double with this and a fourth attraction: Stark Flight Lab.

King Thanos

Disney first announced the new Avengers Campus E-ticket attraction at D23 Expo 2022 but details have been scarce since. It replaces the Quinjet attraction originally planned.

The first concept art released features Marvel superheroes in various art styles attacking King Thanos. Disney said it would feature a “brand-new story that will bring guests into battle alongside their favorite Super Heroes.”

First Look at Plaza de Coco Ofrenda on Disney Treasure Cruise Ship

A video at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event provides a first look at an ofrenda that will be on display in Plaza de Coco, a “Coco”-themed restaurant on Disney Cruise Line’s new Disney Treasure.

Plaza de Coco Ofrenda

A colorful altar adorned with marigold flowers, candles, photographs, and various offerings set up for Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebrations.

The real-life ofrenda is straight out of the Rivera home in Pixar’s “Coco.” Marigolds are placed in an archway over portraits of Miguel’s ancestors. In front of the altar are pots and baskets of more marigolds, as well as a basket of fruit and bread.

A colorful altar with lit candles, flowers, and a framed photo of an elderly woman displayed prominently.

The portraits include the one of Mama Coco seen at the end of the film, surrounded by candles.

A framed family photo is displayed on an ornate altar adorned with marigold flowers, paper decorations, candles, and skeleton figurines, reminiscent of a Día de los Muertos ofrenda.

Mama Imelda, Héctor, and young Coco are also pictured in their famous torn portrait. Other props include skeletons, shoes, and a guitar made of paper flowers.

A person is shown placing items on a decorated altar with marigolds and candles. The text on the screen reads: "Plaza de Coco - Disney Treasure". Profiles of Stephanie, Kim, and Jeremy are partially visible on the left.

The video included clips of Cast Members arranging the props on the ofrenda. Plaza de Coco on the Disney Treasure will have a theater-in-the-round dining room, taking the space held by Arendelle — A Frozen Dining Adventure on the Disney Wish. During a meal of Mexican cuisine “with a modern twist,” guests will enjoy live entertainment from a Mariachi band, Miguel, and his family.

A vibrant Day of the Dead altar display with candles, photos, and colorful decorations is shown on a screen at the Plaza De Coco - Disney Treasure event.

The restaurant will have two shows performed on different nights of the sailing:

On the first night, the story of Miguel and his familia will continue where it left off on screen as they gather in Mariachi Plaza to take guests on a colorful, music-filled journey that celebrates family memories and togetherness. On the second night, Miguel will reunite with his great-great grandparents, Hector and Mama Imelda, by transporting them to Santa Cecilia with the help of his magic guitar for a Día de los Muertos celebration.

Two people stand before an altar decorated with flowers, candles, and framed photographs, engaging in a cultural or religious ceremony.
