Chip and Dale’s Ornament Trail, Mickey’s Holiday Pajama Party, and More Coming to Disneyland for Christmas 2024

New experiences are coming to Disneyland Resort for Christmas 2024.

New Holiday Experiences Debut in 2024

A person dressed as Santa Claus holds the hand of a child in front of a decorated Christmas tree with lights and ornaments.

This holiday season, Santa Claus and select characters will visit and create special memories with guests at the Fantasyland Theatre at Disneyland, which will also feature cookie decorating, craft making, storytelling and atmospheric music throughout the day.

Santa will also make stops for photos at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in Disney California Adventure park, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel and Pixar Place Hotel through December 24. (Don’t forget to also look for Santa in the finale of “A Christmas Fantasy Parade” at Disneyland park!)

As we previously revealed, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will debut charming new looks in Disneyland, reminiscent of writing warm letters to loved ones during the holidays. As another holiday treat, we are sharing a preview of the outfits some of their pals will sport on Main Street, U.S.A., as seen at the top of this post! Also keep an eye out on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure and throughout Disneyland for characters making holiday appearances.

Four holiday-themed cartoon character ornaments with red ribbons hang on a Christmas tree. Each ornament depicts a different character in festive attire.

From November 22, 2024 through January 1, 2025, the Chip and Dale’s Ornament Trail pursuit will debut at Downtown Disney District, where you can search for special ornaments hidden among the holiday trees and shining lights adorning the district.

You’ll be able to purchase an activity map at select shopping locations in Downtown Disney and the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort and redeem it for a collectible holiday keepsake at World of Disney or Disney’s Pin Traders.*

A gingerbread cookie shaped like a bear, decorated with white icing, pink cheeks, a red bow tie, and green buttons, is placed against a wooden background beside red and gold ornaments.

You will also be able to enjoy dozens of limited-time, holiday-themed food and beverages throughout Disneyland Resort. Stay tuned to the official Disney Eats Foodie Guides for more detail, but for now we are thrilled to share some fan favorites will return like the Mickey Gingerbread! Among the novelties that will be available is the returning Holiday stainless steel tumbler.

A festive holiday-themed cup with a red lid, featuring an animated character, a "HOLIDAY" banner, and a green lanyard. The background has colorful ornaments and a glittery surface.

Beginning November 19, “Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates the Holidays!” will delight guests at Disneyland Hotel and, for the first time, Mickey’s Holiday Pajama Party breakfast and brunch at Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will serve holiday-themed meals, accompanied by seasonal décor and select characters donning new pajamas. Reservations will be available on Disneyland.com at a later date.

Three individuals wearing festive Disney-themed attire, including sweaters and accessories, stand outdoors with hands on hips, smiling.

With new holiday merchandise to shop like the Mickey Mouse Family Christmas, Holiday Red and Snowman collections, you’ll find gifts for everyone on your list (or yourself!).

Two people standing near a "Baggage Claim" sign. One wears red Disney attire with sequined Minnie Mouse ears and a backpack, while the other holds snowman-themed headbands and wears a snowman-print onesie.

An assortment of merry merchandise will deck the halls at holiday shopping locations like World of Disney, Emporium, Elias & Co. and more.

Beloved Holiday Décor, Offerings and Entertainment Returns

Large decorated Christmas tree with a star on top, surrounded by festive buildings, lights, and people in an outdoor evening setting.

A breathtaking and distinctly Disney holiday atmosphere will spread across Disneyland Resort, with sparkling décor creating ideal backdrops for family photos. Guests can hear holiday stories about Walt and the Disney family during the Holiday Time at the Disneyland Resort Guided Tour, including highlights such as holiday themed treats and reserved viewing for “A Christmas Fantasy Parade.”**

Street sign reading "Buena Vista St." is adorned with greenery and a red bow, with a white tower featuring a clock and decorative wreath in the background.

All three Hotels of the Disneyland Resort will feature festive fun, including a massive gingerbread house inspired by pastries and candies on display at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and all-new décor at Pixar Place Hotel. The hotels will also have festive in-room celebrations available for purchase and special activities and entertainment during the holidays.

Bookable experiences at Tenaya Stone Spa will bring relaxing holiday comfort, such as the Underneath the Tree Signature Massage and Warmth of Holiday Foot Treatment. And for those wanting to extend their stay in the holiday magic, staying at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort is a great way to do so, as they are just steps away from both theme parks and the Downtown Disney District. Check out Disneyland.com for the latest hotel offers.

A nighttime scene of a brightly lit castle decorated for the holidays with fireworks in the sky and a festive crowd watching below.

One very special Disney holiday tradition is watching “snow” fall from above and fireworks fill the air during the “Believe…In Holiday Magic” nighttime spectacular, which will perform nightly at Disneyland! And as an additional wintry treat every night, you’ll also experience “snowfall” along the Rivers of America, outside of “it’s a small world” Holiday, on Main Street, U.S.A., and the west end of Downtown Disney.

In Disney California Adventure, hundreds of fountains dance to festive music and shimmering “snowflakes” fill Paradise Bay during the nighttime spectacular “World of Color – Season of Light” presented by Pandora Jewelry.

A festive holiday scene features brightly lit candles, a decorated Christmas tree, and vibrant toy soldier figures in a whimsical, colorful setting with ribbons and ornaments.

Select attractions will receive seasonal overlays, including a world tour of good cheer for all ages at “it’s a small world” Holiday and seasonal surprises inspired by “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” at Haunted Mansion Holiday in Disneyland park.

A holiday-decorated "Tow Mater Towing & Salvage" sign featuring Christmas lights, wreaths with tire rims, and a Santa hat, surrounded by trees in an evening setting.

The jolly residents of Radiator Springs get ready to “deck the hauls” with Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure park.

Get a Taste of Disney Festival of Holidays and Disney ¡Viva Navidad!

A group of Disney characters, including Mickey and Minnie Mouse, are performing on a street lined with buildings and palm trees. People watch and take pictures from the sides. It's a sunny day.

The welcoming and vibrant Disney Festival of Holidays returns to Disney California Adventure, highlighting a diverse season of celebrations in Southern California with a wide range of flavorful food and beverages, a variety of live entertainment and more.

You can look forward to new and returning menu items at the Festive Food Marketplaces and select dining locations in Disney California Adventure. You may choose to purchase a scannable Sip and Savor Pass in either a four-coupon or eight-coupon version, which can be redeemed for select food and nonalcoholic beverages from participating locations.***

Upbeat live entertainment expands the festival’s tapestry of diversity and brings high energy to the holiday fun. A slate of new cultural performance groups – along with returning favorites – will perform joyous music and dance across a range of genres. Plus, you will be able to enjoy holiday rhythms as iconic Disney characters march to the beat of festive music during the “Mickey’s Happy Holidays” cavalcade.

Two people are wearing "Festival of Holidays 2024" apparel at a theme park, featuring festive designs and holding a themed mug. A large character face and ferris wheel are visible in the background.

You’ll also discover this year’s Disney California Adventure Festival of Holidays merchandise collection, which can be found at Merchandise Marketplace and Elias & Co. in Disney California Adventure.

Five costumed characters stand in front of a festive backdrop with the words "Viva Navidad" in bright decorations. They are posing and smiling for a picture.

Paradise Gardens at Disney California Adventure will be home to the returning Disney ¡Viva Navidad! festivities, which include daily crafts, live music, menu items and décor inspired by Latin American traditions – with a dash of Disney flair. Here, you may also encounter Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, The Three Caballeros and Mirabel from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Encanto.”

The Disney ¡Viva Navidad! street party will perform on select days, featuring The Three Caballeros accompanied by Mexican folklórico dancers and mariachis, Brazilian samba dancers and percussionists, and more. On days when the Disney ¡Viva Navidad! street party is not scheduled, guests may encounter Mirabel from Disney Animation’s “Encanto” or Miguel from Pixar Animation Studios’ “Coco” in festive street performances that celebrate the holidays and the gift of familia, outside the entrance to Paradise Gardens Park. Guests can check Disneyland.com and the Disneyland app for performance schedules.

Plus, Celebrate the Opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland Park Beginning November 15

Illustrated poster featuring Tiana and a friendly alligator with other animals beside a river, promoting Disneyland's "Tiana's Bayou Adventure" attraction with a waterfall in the background.

Adding more excitement alongside the holiday season, Tiana’s story will come to life in a new way at Disneyland Resort when the attraction Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens at Disneyland on November 15, 2024

With original music, new renditions of favorite songs from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “The Princess and the Frog” and intricate details throughout, you’ll join Princess Tiana and jazz-loving alligator Louis as you encounter familiar faces, make new friends and travel through the bayou.

The attraction builds upon Princess Tiana’s storytelling that you can already experience uniquely at Disneyland Resort, whether it’s shopping at Eudora’s Chic Boutique Featuring Tiana’s Gourmet Secrets or dining at Tiana’s Palace quick-service restaurant.

The reimagined merchandise locations coming to Bayou Country in Disneyland park, Ray’s Berets and Louis’ Critter Club, will feature themed merchandise inspired by the attraction that will further immerse you into the world of Princess Tiana.

We can’t wait to welcome you to the bayou soon, and celebrate the holidays with you here at Disneyland Resort!

First Look at Map and Prizes for Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt at 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival

The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival 2024 has kicked off, and with it, Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt has returned. The scavenger hunt will be available throughout the length of the festival, which ends on November 23.

This article will contain spoilers for the prizes but not the hiding places.

Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt 2024 – $9.99

Map & Stickers

Hand holding a blue patterned envelope with text "Remy's Ratatouille Hide & Squeak" in front of a garden and pathway during the 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival.

The map comes folded like a napkin with the sticker sheet tucked inside. The back of the map has embellished art featuring Remy and Emile snacking beside a makeshift Eiffel Tower, constructed from salt and pepper shakers and silverware.

A hand holds a map for Remy's Hide & Squeak scavenger hunt at the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, showing various international pavilions and their locations on the map, with greenery in the background.

The map shows you which pavilions and other areas around EPCOT have hidden Remys. Once found, guests place the included stickers in the correct areas. You don’t actually have to fill out the sheet to collect your prize, though.

The instructions read:

Help Remy he he ventures around EPCOT to collect the ingredients for his signature dish, Ratatouille. As you find Remy with each ingredient throughout the Festival, place the corresponding sticker on the map to represent the location.

A hand holds a 2024 Scavenger Hunt map and sticker sheet in front of a garden area at Remy's Hide & Squeak during the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival.

The stickers match each location’s Remy and ingredient.

Prizes

Display case showcasing colorful themed bowls and a matching utensil set for sale at $9.99. The background reveals the bustling interior of Remy's Hide & Squeak during the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, with other merchandise and engaged shoppers in sight.

This year’s prizes are plastic bowls. Guests can choose one bowl from four designs, including Figment, Remy, Mickey, and Minnie.

Figment

We picked Figment! The outside of the bowl is light blue with stars, Figment’s head wearing a chef’s hat, and “Foodie at [heart].” The inside is orange with an image of Figment sampling something from a mixing bowl.

Ratatouille

The Ratatouille bowl is white inside and out. The exterior has Remy wearing a chef’s hat with various food items and utensils floating around. Spaceship Earth is also pictured. The image on the inside shows a mixing bowl and whisk surrounded by the words, “I’ve been known to mix things up.”

Minnie Mouse

The light blue Mickey option has an image of the mouse wearing a chef’s hat and apron. ARound her are different images of cooking tools, including Salt and Pepper shakers that say “Spice things up!”; a pot that says, “Good cooking takes skills;” an apron that reads, “Best Baker on Earth;” and a mixer that says, “Nothing beats my cooking.”

Mickey Mouse

The Mickey bowl is dark blue with images in rectangles, including Chef Mickey, sushi, fruits and vegetables, and more. The inside is a bright blue with a white design that reads, “only eat the good stuff.”

Which prize will you choose? Let us know in the comments.

A Ballad of Bravery: Make-A-Wish Child’s Mulan-Inspired Wish

Ten-year-old Xuanxuan had one wish: to visit Shanghai Disney Resort and sing the famous “Ballad of Mulan” before meeting none other than Mulan herself. An ancient folk song that nearly every child in China learns, it represents power and bravery in Chinese culture as it tells the story of Mulan.

Xuanxuan has been fighting a brainstem glioma, a cancerous tumor, and she has been enchanted by Mulan, from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film, since the moment she saw videos of the courageous warrior riding a majestic warhorse during Mickey’s Storybook Express parade at Shanghai Disneyland. The Disney Princess looked so brave and beautiful, igniting Xuanxuan’s wish to one day meet her hero in person.

“The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all.”

On June 22, her wish came true! The excited wish child and her family arrived at the Royal Banquet Hall in the Enchanted Storybook Castle. Joining them were Shanghai Ambassador, Wendy Feng and three VoluntEARS from the Shanghai Disney Resort Calligraphy Club, who are experts in Chinese calligraphy.

Xuanxuan was presented with beautiful calligraphy artwork of the “Ballad of Mulan” as a gift from the VoluntEARS and even got to try her hand at Chinese calligraphy in a special lesson – an experience she deemed one of her favorite parts of the whole wish. She then got to sing the song and meet her favorite character, Mulan.

Xuanxuan proudly gave Mulan her piece of art, elegantly displayed on a fan. And the magic didn’t stop there! She then boarded Mickey’s Storybook Express to see Mulan in full armor, enjoyed the new The Adventure of Rhythm show and watched Mulan’s epic story unfold.

The day ended with the wish child and her family exploring the park, creating even more magical memories together.

After this special wish granting experience, Xuanxuan’s mom shared, “We had a great time, filled with happiness. We would love to thank all the volunteers sincerely. Xuanxuan and I felt so surprisingly happy and excited from the attention we were getting.” Xuanxuan expressed sincere gratitude for the optimistic atmosphere she enjoyed during her once-in-a-lifetime wish.

Making wishes come true is at the core of everything we do at Disney. We’ve worked alongside our friends at Make-A-Wish for more than 40 years to grant more than 155,000 Disney Wishes together globally… including this one. To learn more, visit worldwish.org/disney.

In the warrior spirit of Mulan, we hope Xuanxuan embodies bravery throughout her journey and carries this newfound courage with her wherever she goes. Stay tuned as we continue to celebrate World Princess Week and share stories from around the world you won’t want to miss!
