Tokyo Disney Resort has provided further details on “it’s a small world with Groot”, which will be presented at Tokyo Disneyland Park from January 15 through June 30, 2025 featuring characters from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe designed in the endearing style of the attraction “it’s a small world.”
For the first time, “it’s a small world with Groot” will feature Marvel characters in an attraction at Tokyo Disney Resort. In this special, limited time version of the attraction, Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy and his other Super Hero friends are visiting Earth for vacation.
Tokyo Disney Resort also released video footage showing the crafting process of the Marvel characters to be featured in the attraction:
In the video, classic “it’s a small world” dolls are dressed as Marvel characters such as Black Panther, Captain America, Mantis, and Gamora. Other characters can be seen in other formats, such as Rocket Raccoon eating gelato in Italy, as well as Ant-Man and the Wasp riding a giant ant through the outback. There’s also multiple figures of Groot that will be featured throughout the different scenes of the classic ride. Based on the appearances of these Baby Groots, it seems that every Disney character in the ride will be temporarily displaced by Groot and his friends during this lengthy overlay.
A Groot holding an umbrella is seen above, possibly alluding to the character’s appearance in the rainforest scene of “it’s a small world” at Tokyo Disneyland.
As seen in the image above, a classic “it’s a small world” style doll represents Thor, while a Groot figure will be dressed as a member of the King’s Guard or a Beefeater for the U.K. section of the attraction.
Words can’t express how excited we are to finally try out what these 25+ food booths and EPCOT spots have to offer us for this year. Menus for this year’s festival were released a few weeks ago, and we’ve been planning out our pathways around the first day of the festival ever since. Just today, we were in the parks checking out if menus were finally up around the different booths (many of them were!) and we noticed an area we’ve never seen before!
Over near the Imagination Pavilion, there’s a new “neighborhood” of festival booths ready to open tomorrow. This area is called Harvest Hollow, and is home to three of this year’s booths!
Forest and Field (you’ll find “autumn-inspired dishes paired with soothing sips.”)
Milled and Mulled (Disney says “sweeten your day with freshly baked treats and specialty sips.”)
Bramblewoods Bites (where you’ll find “hearty fare like grilled bison and roasted vegetables.”)
Harvest Hollow
While the booths won’t be open until tomorrow, we were already enjoying the absolutely adorable decor they had spread out over the area!
ADORABLE!
We also love how much seating there is right in this neighborhood — it’s often difficult to find areas to sit down and eat your items at the festival, which is why we recommend bringing a tray and being ready to eat on top of a trashcan, but this seating right nearby will be incredible!
Look at all that seating!
Having trouble picturing it on the map? We get it — here’s exactly where you’ll find this seating area and its three booths.
Here it is!
This year’s festival runs from August 29th through November 23rd, and we’ll be in the parks tomorrow experiencing each and every thing there is!
