Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store Full Tour Photos & Video

Take a full photo and video tour of the Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store, now open at Universal Studios Florida.

Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store

What Is the Tribute Store?

The Tribute Store is a themed retail experience — which is to say that it’s a heavily-decorated store with its own backstory. It’s home to the bulk of the Halloween Horror Nights merchandise for the year but can be almost an attraction on its own. The story is often unrelated to the rest of the event, but it carries its own and often has other tie-ins. This year, teasers leading up to the opening were installed in the nearby Sahara Traders gift shop at Revenge of the Mummy, drawing the Museum of Antiquities into the story.

Where is the Tribute Store?

The Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store is located in the New York area of Universal Studios Florida. The entrance is located at the Macy’s facade on the corner of Delancey Street and 57th Avenue. It’s next to Revenge of the Mummy and across from Gramercy Park. Find it on the map below, marked with an orange star.

A labeled map of a location with buildings, pathways, and points of interest marked by letters and numbers features an orange star highlighting the Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store.

What’s the Story?

The official description reads, “Step into a dystopian city where an ancient evil is wreaking havoc at this highly themed retail space. Guests will venture through a variety of haunted urban-themed locations, from an abandoned warehouse to a creepy subway station and beyond while also a serial killer on the loose and stalking them until they come face to face with the killer in the end.

The serial killer is a huge bat creature seemingly summoned by an idol received at the museum. Mysterious things kept happening until ultimately the idol was stolen and used, purposefully or not, to summon the creature. The city was ravaged, and we entered the ruins.

Full Tour

A graffiti-covered metal container labeled "Tributes Store" is placed at the entrance of a building marked "Stein & Co." on a sunny day, heralding the much-anticipated Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store.

The exterior of the Tribute Store is a maroon and rusted shipping container. The “Tribute Store” is written in graffiti across the side alongside other graffiti art.

The window, covered with plastic sheets and bordered by masking tape, offers a glimpse into the eerie Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store. Faintly visible inside are pallets and other objects, while three black light fixtures are ominously mounted below the window.

Just above the shipping container Universal has themed the window in Stein & Co. with a wooden pallet and plastic tarp, making the building appear abandoned.

Though a concept teaser in Sahara Traders showed that scaffolds were going to be part of the final product, they were inexplicably removed. They were supposed to be part of the story explaining that repairs had to stop due to bat attacks.

Entrance

People stand in a line inside the Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store, a metal structure with a yellow floor and walls featuring graffiti.

The story begins as we move through the storage container while being pursued by a “serial killer.”

People are standing in line inside a building near a wall with a large painted arrow pointing to an entrance. A locker with various items, possibly from the Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store, is on the left side of the image.

We made our way into the Tribute Store and got a look at the start of our journey (and some of the merchandise that will be available inside).

A narrow hallway with graffiti on the walls, including a smiley face, phrases like "EEK! A BIT?" and "I FEEL SAFE-ISH?". There's a bulletin board with posters and a door at the end of the hall, reminiscent of the eerie atmosphere you'd find at Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store.

The walls inside the hallways feature red and yellow graffiti that frequently mentions bats.

A wall with a map and instructional signs about bats taped on it alongside a 'Danger: Construction Area Ahead' sign, reminiscent of the eerie setup you might find at Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store. The wall has a yellow spray-painted circle around the signs.

The notices on the wall warn of bats and explain what people should do if they see one.

Foyer

A group of people walk past a store decorated for Halloween Horror Nights 33 with signs for ice cream, desserts, and fresh meat. The store has pumpkins, a "STOP" sign, and various Halloween decorations.

We then entered the “foyer,” which is right outside of the Tribute Store’s first room: Kurt’s Supplies.

A colorful indoor market scene with people browsing a store. A banner saying "Roti's Supplies" is hung overhead. In the background, a van with open doors and shelves filled with jars adds to the eclectic charm, reminiscent of displays seen at Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store.

An emergency alert repeats warnings about bat attacks and an impending thunderstorm as we enter the former convenience store.

Kurt’s Supplies

We then made our way into Kurt’s Supplies. A sheet with the words spray painted in blue sits above the entry.

A dimly lit store area with various merchandise like shirts and bottles captures the eerie vibe of Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store. Part of the area is decorated to look worn down with boarded windows and vines, while customers can be seen exploring in the background.

Rain falls through the collapsed ceiling inside the convenience store. The sound design features water falling into buckets and occasional thunder.

People browse merchandise in a dimly lit store with shelves displaying various products, including toys and memorabilia. A wall-mounted screen with text is visible in the background, creating an eerie atmosphere perfect for the Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store.

The emergency alert that was repeating outside the room plays on the TV in the corner of the convenience store.

A wall filled with stacked instant noodle packages, a clock, and various tools is displayed next to a kiosk with a handwritten sign and other items attached to the wall, reminiscent of the eclectic decorations you'd find at the Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store.

The convenience store is home to the “Become a Part of the Tribute Store” items.

A wooden bulletin board displays a clipboard with a museum floor plan, a brochure titled "Museum of Antiquities," and a newspaper clipping headlined "Shadowy Figure Haunts City"—a fitting touch for the Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store.

There is a map of the museum on a counter. It is surrounded by brochures and newspaper clippings. These were part of the teasers in Sahara Traders leading up to the Tribute Store.

A cluttered room features various weapons and supplies on the wall, including bats, an axe, and frying pans. A phone, clock, safety vests, snacks, and notes ("Kurt's Rules") are on display. This eerie scene could easily be part of a Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store setup.

An array of weapons adorn the wall for fighting off the bats.

New York Street

Graffiti on a brick wall reads "Boris was here" in black spray paint. The scene, reminiscent of Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store, is illuminated with eerie red and purple lighting, with a QR code on a surface nearby.

After Kurt’s, we enter a New York street. “Boris wuz here” has been spray painted on a wall. This is a nod to Boris Schuster, the local gumshoe heavily involved with the supernatural happenings surrounding Halloween Horror Nights.

A dimly lit store with a large illuminated sign reading "Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store," featuring a vintage car door, a small tent, and various props, including a barrel and miniature pumpkin decorations.

A former “Tribute Store” sign is on a wall above a tent and truck frame. The tent was home to the survivors of the first bat attacks, but it’s been long abandoned.

A Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store merchandise display with shirts, cups, and posters is next to a blue skull-shaped entrance adorned with neon lights and an exit sign. Two people stand near the entrance, one using a phone.

An Atomic Goth Punk skull with lightning bolts shooting out of its eyes surrounds the exit of the New York street.

Hallway

Graffiti-covered wall featuring colorful and varied designs, including a large green bear sticking out its tongue, a cartoonish orange and white character, numerous text elements and symbols, with the style reminiscent of the artwork you'd find at Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store.

The transition hallway is also covered in graffiti, with many references to past Tribute Store lore.

Sewers

A dimly lit room with colorful graffiti on the walls, overhanging metal netting with vegetation, and a central cylindrical object conjures an eerie ambiance reminiscent of the Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store. Partially visible people on the left side add to the scene, bathed in blue lights.

The next room guests enter is the sewers. There are plenty of creepy items here, and an “underwater” lighting effect around the giant tunnels and drain pipes.

The sewers are also where guests will be able to pick up snacks during Halloween Horror Nights 33.

A menu board listing various dessert items with their prices, available at the Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store! Indulge in macarons, cakes, and brownies with prices ranging from $3.75 to $13.00.

The menu sits on top of the display case and lists all of the available items and their prices.

Display case containing colorful iced cookies. Foreground shows three round cookies with bright orange pumpkin faces labeled "Lil Boo Sugar Cookie." Background also contains various other decorated cookies, part of the Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store collection.

The Lil’ Boo sugar cookie features the orange jack-o’-lantern with his hollow black eyes and mouth.

This sugar cookie is shaped like a bat. The icing is black with a white border. “Batilda” appears in white across the entire cookie.

Display case featuring themed chocolates and macarons. Labels read “Ecto-1 Caramel,” “Red Door Caramel,” “Major Sweets Caramel," and "Pumpkin Major Sweets Caramel," all inspired by Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store.

There are three caramels available at this location: ECTO-1 Caramel, Red Door Caramel, and Pumpkin Major Sweets Caramel. Each caramel is a reference to one of the haunted houses.

A display of themed macarons, including "Chocolate Chilli" and "Ghost S'more" flavors, with images of cartoon characters on them, is featured at the Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store.

Three macarons are also available. The Chocolate Chili Macaron features Major Sweets and the Ghost S’more Macaron depicts the Ghostbusters logo.

The Pumpkin Lollipop Macaron has a jack-o’-lantern on it.

A display case at the Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store showcases several "Ghost S'more" desserts, featuring marshmallows with eyes and graham cracker bases. Other colorful treats are visible in the background.

Another ghastly treat is the Ghost S’more. Each roasted marshmallow has two eyes.

A display case with various Halloween-themed desserts is set up in the Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store. Prominently featured are candy corn blondies with a sign indicating their name. Other sweets, including cupcakes with green frosting and eyeball decorations, are visible.

The Candy Corn Blondie has white, orange, and yellow icing organized to look like candy corn. It sits on top of a blondie.

Display case containing Halloween-themed desserts including brownies labeled "Ghost Trap Blondie" decorated with green frosting, wafer pieces, and miniature ghost traps, inspired by the Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store.

Another available blondie is designed to look like one of the ghost traps from “Ghostbusters.” Green “ectoplasm” oozes out of the top.

UOR HHN33 slimer brownie

The Slimer Brownie is a typical brownie cover in green icing. On top of the icing is a chocolate ganache with Slimer above “Halloween Horror Nights 2024” in green and purple.

Rows of black top hat-shaped cookies and cream cakes decorated with colorful pumpkin and lollipop designs, displayed in a pastry case. A sign in front reads "Cookies and Cream Top Hat." These delightful treats are part of the Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store collection.

The Cookies and Cream Top Hat is shaped like the hat Major Sweets wears. The red band around the brim features a candy corn. Two lollipops stick out of the band, one of which depicts a jack-o’-lantern.

A display case showing colorful desserts, including Mini Puft S'mores and Slimer Brownies, featuring designs from the Ghostbusters franchise, brings a spooky flair to the Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store.

The Mini Puft S’more is purple and features the Stay Puft Man on top of it.

Display case with multiple Black Forest Trifle Cakes topped with cherries and whipped cream, labeled "Mel's Drive-In," featured in the Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store.

The Black Forest Triple Cake has a Me’s Die-In sticker on the cup that it comes in.

Subway Tunnel Beneath Museum

Dimly lit indoor scene with people observing an art display in a room filled with graffiti and surreal decor, reminiscent of the Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store. Blue and purple lighting casts shadows, creating an immersive, eerie atmosphere.

The final room in the Tribute Store is a subway tunnel beneath the museum. The train car pictured above appears to be from Descendents of Destruction. This room also features nods to previous Tribute Stores, including many fake HHN comics.

IMG 1659

This is where guests will finally meet the giant bat creature that has been wreaking so much havoc — it’s Batilda, our “serial killer,” who first appeared in last year’s Shipyard 32 scare zone.

Exit

A long corridor with dim lighting leads to an open door at the far end, where a person is standing outside. The walls are lined with dark panels, and a few green plants are visible near the ceiling—reminiscent of the eerie atmosphere of Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store.

After the sewers, guests will exit the Tribute Store through a long hallway.

A wooden machine labeled "Tribute Store Collectible Medallions" with a screen, buttons, and coin slots is placed in a corner. The surrounding area features dark walls and a small step, perfectly capturing the eerie ambiance of Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store.

In this hallway, guests will find a Tribute Store collectible medallions kiosk.

Four buttons on a machine at the Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store are labeled with whimsical illustrations: scarecrow, "A Quiet Place" creature, monster, and a bug, positioned above a display with collectible coins.

Three of the four medallions pay tribute to houses guests can visit during Halloween Horror Nights 33. The first medallion is Slimer eating a slice of pizza with “Ghostbusters” in front of him. The second depicts a Death Angel from “A Quiet Place.” The third features Major Sweets in his infamous top hat.

The fourth and final medallion displays Lil’ Boo.

A boarded-up newsstand covered in colorful graffiti in an indoor area, with people walking past on the right, gives off the eerie vibe of Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store.

Just before exiting there is a dilapidated newsstand. This is the same newsstand from last year’s Tribute Store, and the Curator’s window is boarded over.

Retro horror magazines displayed on a shelf, including one titled "Mad Monsters" with a creature on its cover and another titled "Massacre at the Museum," evoke the chilling atmosphere you'd expect to find in the Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store.

The newsstand features a “Mad Monsters” magazine depicting the Creature from the Black Lagoon. Tucked behind it is “Massacre at the Museum,” a Boris Shuster comic.

Does This End the Speculation of a Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Re-Theme in Disney World?

There is one ride at Disney World that always has rumors looming about a potential re-theme.

Hollywood Studios

Disney World has been updating attractions lately. For example, Splash Mountain turned into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The Country Bear Jamboree closed and re-opened with a new show of the Bears singing covers of Disney songs. We also got the unfortunate news that we would be losing the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer’s Island to make way for a brand new Cars Land. The difference with these announcements is that we got notice of the changes way before they closed.

When Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster goes down to be refurbished rumors swirl around that the ride will open with a new theme. And while we know that these rumors have been going on for years, we must say it seems a little silly to freak out over it.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster

We are not saying that we would not miss Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Staring Aerosmith, but instead saying that there is no reason to panic until Disney announces something. In most cases Disney gives fair warning of when a project is to start. For example, if you want to experience It’s Tough to Be a Bug! one more time, you need to do so soon as Zootopia: Better Zoogether will take its place in Winter of 2025.

Zootopia: Better Zoogether ©Disney

While Aerosmith has unfortunately announced their retirement, they posted on X that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster had re-opened after being closed for a lengthy refurbishment. We think this update shows that Aerosmith still has a good working relationship with Disney, and a re-theme is unlikely for now.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster

It was rumored that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster would be replaced by a Monsters Inc. door coaster, and funny enough the attraction was finally confirmed earlier this month at D23. Although no location for this new land has been announced, it seems highly unlikely that the land would go where Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster currently is.

Monsters, Inc. coaster

While Disney has a ton of new and exciting projects like the Magic Kingdom expansion including a Villains Land and Cars Land, as well as a Pueblo Esperanza, the Tropical Americas-themed land replacing DinoLand U.S.A., we think it is pretty safe to say that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is not going anywhere anytime soon.

Pueblo Esperanza Model

Rest assured, if Disney were to ever announce a re-theme for Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster, we would make sure to keep you updated since you “Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing.” So as always keep following along with Disney Food Blog for more Disney news, updates, and tips!
