Review: Hulu’s “After Baywatch: Moment In The Sun” Looks At The Television Juggernaut (Until It Doesn’t)

A key part of my upbringing was watching The E! True Hollywood Story. These behind-the-scenes looks at celebrities, television, and film were a peak behind the curtain for a kid like me who wanted to be immersed in pop culture. From there, I entered the world of “talking head TV,” like VH1’s Best Week Ever and […]

A black T-shirt with a colorful design and the text "DEAD Coconut CLUB" printed on it, displayed on a clothes rack in a store.

The T-shirt itself is black. The Dead Coconut Club wordmark is printed in neon light blue and pink on the front.

Rather than the vampire fangs featured on the banners outside the venue, this T-shirt opts for a bat silhouette instead. Behind it is a full moon with a gradient that runs from light blue to pink to red.

A black Universal Studios shirt with a green "Glows in the Dark" sticker, perfect for your next night at the Dead Coconut Club. Instructions read: "For best glow effect, place in direct sunlight or under a lamp for at least an hour.

This T-shirt also glows in the dark. For the best glow effect, it’s recommended to hold the shirt in direct sunlight or under a lamp for at least one hour.

A building entrance with signage for "Red Coconut Club" and "Dead Coconut Club." The entrance features columns and a modern design with stone and metal accents. Purple and blue lights are visible above.

The Dead Coconut Club featuring Blumhouse is this year’s overlay theme of the Red Coconut Club for Halloween Horror Nights 33. New Mickey-Shaped Apple Beignets at Disneyland for Halloween 2024

As invited media, Disney provided WDWNT with a gift card for food and beverages, so some of the following coverage was hosted. As always, WDWNT will still provide our honest thoughts on all below.

Tiana’s Palace isn’t the only Disneyland venue with new beignets available this fall. Mint Julep Bar has new Tangy Apple Mickey-Shaped Beignets.

A display menu showing Mickey-shaped Tangy Apple Beignets in 3-pack or 6-pack options and Mango & Peach Mint Julep. Prices are listed for the items and caramel dipping sauce.

The beignets are available in packs of three for $6.49 or six for $10.49. Caramel dipping sauce is $1.39. The treats are available through November 14.

Tangy Apple Mickey-shaped Beignets – $6.49

Dusted with tangy apple powdered sugar

A hand holding a Mickey Mouse-shaped beignet coated with sugar in an outdoor seating area with people and tables in the background.

Despite supposedly being apple-flavored, the apple sugar on these beignets has no flavor. You’re better off getting the regular beignets for 50 cents cheaper. They taste exactly the same.

Caramel Dipping Sauce – $1.39

A white plastic cup filled with caramel sauce sits on a light brown surface next to a lid partially covered in caramel.

The caramel dipping sauce on the other hand is fantastic. Get this with your regular beignets.

Philly Potato Dog & Embers Con Queso Nachos are Perfect Additions to Halloween Time at Disneyland

As invited media, Disney provided WDWNT with a gift card for food and beverages, so some of the following coverage was hosted. As always, WDWNT will still provide our honest thoughts on all below.

Refreshment Corner in Disneyland Park has two new Halloween menu items. The Philly Potato Dog and Embers con Queso are available through November 14.

A loaded baked potato topped with beef, sour cream, green onions, and tomatoes in a cardboard container next to a carton of jalapeños with melted cheese on a blue table with floral designs.

Philly Potato Dog – $13.79

Baked potato topped with an all-beef hot dog, thinly-sliced beef, peppers, pepperoncini, provolone, and cherry spread

A loaded baked potato topped with shredded meat, chopped green onions, melted cheese, and creamy sauce, served in a brown cardboard container on a blue surface with yellow floral designs.

One of the Disneyland chefs told us that this was her favorite item this year. We were skeptical because it is an odd combination and perhaps, for some, the stuff of nightmares. The baked potato is split open like a hotdog bun and the dog is placed inside. It’s then topped with meat, peppers, cheese, etc. And every bite was amazing. This is one of the stars of Halloween Time 2024.

Rating out of 7: 7

Embers con Queso – $5.29

Hot crunchy cheese curls with nacho cheese and jalapeños

A serving of food in a paper tray featuring red snack pieces topped with yellow cheese sauce and sliced green jalapeños, set against a blue background.

The “cheese curls” in this treat are Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, topped with basic snack bar nacho cheese and sliced jalapeños. Your first instinct may be to say this is too basic and simple to be good. You would be wrong. This is one of the cheapest snacks at Disneyland and one of our new favorites. The simple ingredients work well together and it needs nothing else to be perfect. Note that it’s served in a paper bag and you will need utensils.
