Deadpool Makes Questionable Disney+ Terms and Conditions Joke at Disney California Adventure

While “Deadpool & Wolverine” continues to break box office records, Story Time with Deadpool at Disney California Adventure continues to prove popular among guests. During a recent performance of the show, Deadpool made a joke about the Disney+ terms and conditions, referencing a recent wrongful death lawsuit filed against the company.

Deadpool References Disney+ Arbitration Clause

Two people in colorful superhero costumes, one in yellow and blue, the other in red, performing on an outdoor stage with props while spectators watch. It's like a live-action Story Time with Deadpool!

Shared via a TikTok from user gothgirl_doesdisney, Deadpool makes the reference during a retelling of “Cinderpool.” As Wolverine stands alongside him, Deadpool says:

[…] and headed to the big battle. Cinderpool was late, becaues he had to read every single page in the terms and conditions when he signed up for Disney+.

A burst of nervous laughter and noises of shock followed from the crowd, seemingly surprised that the character would once again take it that far at a Disney-owned theme park.

Wolverine followed up with “I don’t get it,” and Deadpool simply responded, “They do.”

You can watch the full video of the joke in the TikTok below:

This joke references the recent discourse surrounding a wrongful death lawsuit filed after a woman passed away from anaphylaxis resulting from a meal at Raglan Road Irish Pub in Disney Springs. Disney had previously asked a Florida court to move the case to arbitration, citing a waiver included in the terms and conditions for Disney+. Disney claims that the plaintiff, the husband of the woman who died, agreed to “arbitrate all disputes with the company” when he signed up for a one-month Disney+ free trial in 2019, as well as when he used the My Disney Experience app to purchase tickets to visit EPCOT.

Disney later issued a statement in response to their motion for arbitration, saying that the company was “merely defending [themselves] against the plaintiff’s attorney’s attempt to include us in their lawsuit against the restaurant.”

Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro released a statement of his own a few days later, following reactions to the motion, confirming that Disney would “waive [its] right to arbitration and have the matter proceed in court.”

Spicy Meats Pizza Brings the Heat to Halloween 2024 at Disney California Adventure

As invited media, Disney provided WDWNT with a gift card for food and beverages, so some of the following coverage was hosted. As always, WDWNT will still provide our honest thoughts on all below.

Whether you’re looking for a slice or a whole Halloween pizza pie, Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta at Disney California Adventure has you covered with the new Spicy Meats Pizza.

A menu sign promoting "Spicy Meats Pizza" with mango-habanero sauce, pepperoni, sausage, and chicken topped with ranch dressing for $9.49. The sign features Halloween-themed graphics.

Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta is in Paradise Gardens Park. A slice of the Spicy Meats Pizza is $9.49. A whole pie is $47.49. Like most of the special Halloween food at Disneyland Resort, this dish is available through November 14.

Spicy Meats Pizza – $9.49

Mango-habanero sauce topped with pepperoni, spicy sausage, and chicken drizzled with ranch dressing

A hand holding a slice of spicy meats pizza with pepperoni and drizzled with white sauce in a triangular paper dish at an outdoor setting with people and amusement park buildings in the background.

This is a nice spicy edition, although the mango-habanero sauce is prominent and provides some sweetness. The ranch dressing also helps cool it off. It’s not quite as spicy as the new Chipotle Chicken Drumstick from Poultry Palace, but it gives you plenty to handle and puts a bit of sweat on your brow.

Rating out of 7: 5

Have you tried this pizza slice? If so, let us know what you think of it in the comments below or on social media.
