We also try a lot of these products out before we recommend them so we can give you the best advice we can about what you’ll need. Well, we’ve got one product from Amazon (Amazon is our go-to shopping site for a lot of Disney essentials!) that has changed how we drink in Disney World forever.

Okay, so here’s the thing: Disney World straws are…well, we’re not big fans. Disney World has been doing away with plastic straws and the cardboard/paper straws don’t always cut it. Then there are the agave straws that kind of give drinks a weird taste. So we like to bring our OWN straws to the park and this is a set we swear by!
Okay, this set of 12 straws (that come in their own carry pouch) is a game changer for us. One thing we love about them is that they’re easy to clean. We also prefer them over steel or collapsible reusable straws because these hold their form when you use them, but also after they’ve been bent and stored in their containers.
They’re bendy but don’t lose their shape
We also like that we can get them in different colors, which is great for groups (so everyone can know which straws are theirs). These even work well with frozen drinks, which impressed us.

These are now in our “must-have” category of things to take to Disney World.
An Oktoberfest Loungefly ear headband is now available at World of Disney in Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort.
Oktoberfest Loungefly Ear Headband – $44.99
The Oktoberfest Loungefly ear headband features two Mickey pretzels for ears. The pretzels are light brown with white pieces of salt on them. The areas inside of the identical twisting pretzels are dark brown.
The outside of the headband is yellow pleather and the inside of the headband is black velour.
Between the two pretzel ears is a pleather bow with numerous German-themed patches adorning it. The patches are many colors, with some featuring lions, beer, knights, bread, sausages, and more. Each patch has a banner attached to it. While some of these banners highlight “Oktoberfest” and “Pretzel knots,” one banner is for “Biergarten.” The patch belonging to this banner reads “Beer, Food, & Fun” and has “EPCOT” in yellow against a brown background. This serves as a nod to the Biergarten Restaurant in World Showcase at EPCOT.
In the middle of the bow is a silver crown. It is attached to a strap that can be unclasped so the bow can be removed.
The back of the ear headband looks the same as the front except that the silver crown is not present on the back.
One side of the ear headband features a brown metal tag with the “Disney” and “Loungefly” wordmarks.
Considering the ear headband mentions EPCOT, we were hopeful that this item would also be available at Walt Disney World. Despite our best efforts, we were unable to find it even after checking the Germany Pavilion. Maybe it will be available as Oktoberfest approaches.

This treat is available at the churros cart in Hollywood Land through November 14.

Matcha and Pistachio Sugar-coated with Churro drizzled with Chocolate Sauce and topped with Almonds
This is an instant improvement over the Halloween churros from Walt Disney World. It’s warm, crispy on the outside, and dense on the inside. Somehow the sweetness is not overpowering. The chocolate does mask the matcha flavor, depending on the makeup of your bite. It’s a satisfying snack.

Oogie Boogie Bash merchandise is now available at Disney California Adventure. The event begins tonight, August 25, and runs on select nights through October 31.
Glow-in-the-Dark T-Shirt – $34.99

The hoodie is neon green with a kangaroo pocket. “Oogie Boogie Bash 2024” is printed in black and purple on the left breast. Black lines, reminiscent of Oogie Boogie’s shoulder stitching are present on the shoulders of this hoodie.
The hood drawstrings are red and white and look like candy canes.
The back of the hoodie features “Oogie Boogie Bash” in large black letters. Beneath the letters, Lock, Shock, and Barrel march with various weapons in their hands.
The hood depicts Oogie Boogie’s head. His two black eyes are found on both sides of it. The bottom of the hood features the black lines found on his lips.
Spirit Jersey – $79.99
The collection’s spirit jersey is black and green. The middle portion of the shirt and sleeves is green, while the top and bottom of the shirt are black.
“Oogie Boogie Bash 2024” is printed in black on the left breast. The words are outlined in white. Three black bats fly around them.
The same coloring is found on the back of the Spirit Jersey. “Oogie Boogie Bash” stretches across the shoulders. The letters are the same color as the shirt and outlined in white. “Disney California Adventure” is white above the name of the Halloween event.
Oogie Boogie is on the bottom half of the Spirit Jersey. Black lines crisscross his entire body.
Loungefly Backpack – $88
Oogie Boogie lets his ghastly smile show on the small front pocket of this Loungefly backpack. Purple lines crisscross behind him in a globe shape. Four green bats fly to the right of his head.
The top of the backpack is black pleather with numerous green bats flying around. A black tag with the “Disney Parks” and “Loungefly” wordmarks is centered above Oogie Boogie.
The back of the backpack is black with bats etched into the pleather. The adjustable straps are purple. A purple strip runs across the top of the backpack. “Oogie Boogie Bash 2024” is green.

Haul-o-ween is underway in Radiator Springs, and with it, a truckload of treats has been delivered to the Cozy Cone Motel. The Cozy Cone is set up as five separate venues, and they all have special seasonal items.
Like most of Cars Land, the Cozy Cone Motel receives a spooky makeover for the Halloween season. The five cones are grouped together near Flo’s V8 Cafe.

Peanut Butter Sugar-coated Churro with Peanut Butter Candy and Chocolate Sauce
One of the chefs told us that this was his favorite seasonal item for Halloween Time at DCA. So far, we can’t really argue with him. The churro was fresh, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and the flavors were on point. We got more chocolate flavor than we did peanut butter, but when we happened to get a bite with the peanut butter M&Ms, it helped balance things out a bit.
This snack disappeared quickly.

Cozy Cone Motel 2 – Ice Cream Cones

This is a fairly bland cone with a blandly cute presentation. Overall, the flavor was essentially “vanilla,” but only in the colloquial sense where people associate vanilla with being very plain. In general, this could have been sweeter or at least had more flavor. There’s a slight nose-wrinkling aftertaste.

Ube and Vanilla Swirl with Black Sprinkles, served in a Cup or a Cone
Vanilla was not a strong enough flavor to complement the bland ube taste. This is a mixture of two flavors that are too subtle to stand on their own. It’s cold, the texture is nice, and there’s not a ton of flavor for those who subscribe to the “blander the better” philosophy. It gets a slight boost from the vanilla, but we still can’t recommend this when there are so many better ice cream options at the parks. Go to Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream for the Candy Corn Float instead.

Pasta with Red Pepper Cheese Sauce, topped with Chile-Cheese Puffs
The Slow-burning Mac and Cheese is no longer served in a black cone, but the taste is the same without the food coloring.
This is a hit every year, no matter the color of the cone (the weakest part of the dish). It’s like the counter service mac and cheese but packed with flavor from the red pepper in the sauce. There’s a reason it comes back year after year.

Toasted Marshmallow Mule with Cinnamon Whiskey
What a delicious blend of fall flavors. The cinnamon whiskey provides just the right backdrop for this refreshing drink. Overall, it was a pleasant surprise and something we would definitely get again. However, the hefty price tag can’t be disregarded. It’s still a better use of money than the two disappointing ice cream cones being sold two cones down.

Buttered Corn on the Cob with Spicy Lime Mayo, rolled in a choice of Cotija or Spicy Crushed Chile-Cheese Puffs
The corn is smothered in the (surprisingly actually) spicy lime mayonnaise and rolled in the topping you choose. We picked the Cotija cheese instead of the Hot Cheetos dust. The mayonnaise and toppings don’t adhere very well and start to run, so it’s potentially very messy. It’s served chilled, which is refreshing and delicious.

There’s something for everyone at Cozy Cone Motel, but overall, we recommend you pass on the ice cream and go straight for the churro.

Jared Leto, who will play Ares in the upcoming “Tron: Ares,” recently rode TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom.

Jared Leto recently visited Walt Disney World and shared one of his experiences on his Instagram account. The Academy Award-winning actor hopped aboard one of the Light Cycles and braved TRON Lightcycle / Run.

In the shared clip, Leto talked about wanting to sit in the front row of the attraction. That’s exactly where he ended up. The photo above shows him just after he boarded the Light Cycle, putting on his brave face.

With one arm raised in the air, Leto prepared himself for the attraction’s initial launch. In his Instagram caption, Leto said the following about the ride.

“TRON: Ares” is the third installment in the TRON franchise and will be released on October 10, 2025. Nine Inch Nails will provide the music for the film. Jeff Bridges will return as Kevin Flynn and star alongside Leto in the film. Both actors appeared at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in early August.
TRON Lightcycle / Run
TRON Lightcycle / Run opened at Magic Kingdom on April 4, 2023. The high-speed roller coaster features sudden acceleration, sharp turns, drops, and a style of seating and restraints reminiscent of a Light Cycle. The Walt Disney World version of the attraction is a replica of the opening day attraction at Shanghai Disneyland.

Add this to the long list of spicy offerings this year, but this one did not disappoint. It’s not overwhelmingly hot; rather, the spicy flavors complement each other well and lead to an overall great burger with a nice kick. The delicious and crispy crinkle fries help put it over the top.

Oogie Boogie Apple Lemonade – $6.99
Green Apple Lemonade with Cherry-flavored Popping Spheres and Raspberry Sauce
It’s not sickly sweet, even with the syrupy flavorings. The apple was muted but the sour came through to balance out the sugary lemonade and “bloody” raspberry sauce. However, if you want to actually taste the raspberry, you have to stir the drink very well, ruining the aesthetic. We thought the cherry popping pearls added a nice touch.

Vodka with Green Apple Lemonade, Cherry-flavored Popping Spheres and Raspberry Sauce
This drink is extremely tart, more so than the non-alcoholic version, even though they’re presumably made using the same mix. The shot of vodka was hard to detect through the great flavors of green apple and lemonade. It’s cold and refreshing but caused a couple of involuntary facial contortions on the first sip. Overall, it’s not bad. It’s just going to take a few sips to get your taste buds used to the extreme tartness.

Overall, Smokejumpers Grill has no losers this year. You can’t go wrong with these options, and it’s nice to have nearly identical alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions of the drink so everyone can enjoy.

Disney Parks around the world are celebrating World Princess Week 2024 by offering new treats and beverages inspired by Disney Princesses. World Princess Week 2024 begins today, August 25, and ends on August 31. One of the new treats is the Tiana Cone, an ice cream cone inspired by Tiana from “The Princess and the Frog.”
The ice cream cone is available at Storybook Treats at Magic Kingdom until August 31.
Tiana Cone– $6.29
White chocolate and frosted mint soft-serve swirl topped with white chocolate crispy pearls and a chocolate decoration
We were a bit concerned when we read that the white chocolate and frosted mint ice creams would be swirled together. Too often, mint flavors overpower everything else. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case here. Even if you aren’t a huge fan of mint flavoring, you’ll probably still enjoy this treat.
The white chocolate crispy pearls added texture to the otherwise standard offering. Overall, it’s a cute addition to the menu at Storybook Treats, but it’s nothing life-changing. If you’re a Tiana fan or looking for a refreshing treat on a hot day, then this is worth trying. However, there are cheaper ice cream options available at Magic Kingdom that are more worthwhile.
Also, be prepared to eat this very quickly. The Florida sun is not kind to ice cream, and just trying to get these photos, a lot of our treat melted onto the sidewalk.
