Woman Suing Walt Disney World Over Injuries Sustained in Main Street ‘Stampede’

A guest is suing Walt Disney World after she was “knocked over” and injured during a “stampede” on Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom.

Woman Injured in Main Street, U.S.A. ‘Stampede’

Crowds of people walk and gather on a sunny day near a large building with a clock tower and a decorative facade adorned with Halloween decor, in a lively outdoor setting.

Debra O’Steen of Pennsylvania visited Magic Kingdom on June 25, 2024. Her lawsuit states the park was “packed and extremely busy” on that day, and as she was walking on Main Street, U.S.A., “a crowd of people rushed” her and “knocked her over in a stampede.”

According to the lawsuit, O’Steen suffered bodily and terminal injury, mental and physical pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, hospitalization expenses, and lost wages.

Happily Ever After fireworks

The lawsuit doesn’t state where the crowd may have been rushing to or what time of day the injury took place. Main Street, U.S.A. is generally a very busy section of Magic Kingdom, as it offers great views of the Festival of Fantasy Parade, Happily Ever After fireworks, and Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire.

O’Steen and her Morgan & Morgan attorneys filed the negligence lawsuit against Disney in Orange County, Florida. The suit claims Disney was negligent in keeping the crowd under control. O’Steen is seeking damages and a trial by jury.

Donald Duck has been announced as the guest for this week’s episode of “Hot Ones.” The popular talk show hosted by Sean Evans requires guests to answer a series of questions. While the questions follow the format of a basic interview, guests are required to eat wings that get progressively spicier as they provide answers.

We are uncertain how Donald will eat his wings since he is appearing in his animated form. However, we do know that he will be eating cauliflower wings instead of chicken wings during the interview.

In a reel shared by the First We Feast Instagram account, Donald explains how he got his first job in movies on “The Wise Little Hen” in 1934. He claims that he was so popular that he started getting bigger roles than other “so-called celebrities.” After his comment, the reel cuts to a frustrated Mickey Mouse.

Find out if Donald can handle the heat and eat all of the wings on August 23, at 1 p.m. You can watch the interview on the First We Feast YouTube channel.

The appearance comes as Disney continues to celebrate Donald’s 90th birthday. Fans of the iconic character can find exclusive merchandise, such as a Dooney & Bourke collection and a Disney Munchlings popcorn bucket and plush, at Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and DisneyStore.com.

Will you be tuning in to Donald’s interview on “Hot Ones”? Let us know in the comments.
