New UOAP-Exclusive Mel’s Die-In Merchandise Available at Universal Orlando

More new Halloween Horror Nights 33 merchandise has arrived at Universal Orlando Resort. We found Mel’s Die-In merchandise exclusive for Annual Passholders in All Hallows Eve Boutique at Universal Islands of Adventure.

Mel’s Die-In UO AP – $33

A black T-shirt with "Mel's Drive-In" in pink text displayed on a rack in dim lighting. The shirt has a glowing feature indicated by a tag. Surroundings hint at a themed setting with decor and signage.

The Mel’s Die-In shirt is black, but continues the ongoing thread of Halloween Horror Nights 33 with the neon pink colors in the text of the shirt. This shirt does glow in the dark, perfect for a Halloween Horror Nights 33 night.

A person holds a black Universal Annual Passholder T-shirt with a pink and red graphic print.

On the left sleeve of the shirt there is blood spatter with UOAP Passholder matching the neon pink on the front.

Mel’s Die-IN Metal Sign – $35

Finally there is a Mel’s Die-In pin that matches the costume of the female team members, but of course with the Horror Nights theming.

Entrance of a themed store titled "Boardwalk Tattoos" with an open door, inviting interior decor, and colorful signage. Lush greenery surrounds the store, and a stand with promotional information is at the entrance.

2025 Disneyland Resort vacation packages are now available for guests to book for their upcoming trips. These packages include theme park tickets and a stay at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels.

2025 Disneyland Resort Vacation Packages

Colorful amusement park ride with rocket-shaped vehicles in the foreground and a fairytale castle with blue turrets in the background under a clear blue sky, capturing the magic of Disneyland, where summer discounts offer an even more enchanting experience. 2025 Disneyland Resort Vacation Packages are now on sale.

These packages are valid for arrivals from January 1 through December 31, 2025. The first day of the trip cannot be booked more than 499 days in the future. Vacation packages can be booked either online or over the phone.

Hotels available with the package are Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, the Disneyland Hotel, and Pixar Place Hotel.

Each guest ages 3 and over on the reservation will receive a Disneyland Resort eTicket for 2-5 days, depending on the package chosen, with admission to one park per day. This ticket is valid for entry into either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure, but not both on the same day.

However, tickets can be upgraded to include Park Hopper for an additional fee. With Park Hopper eTickets, guests will choose the first park they will visit for the day, and then cross between the two parks on the same day starting at 11 a.m., so long as they have a park reservation.

As a reminder, theme park reservations are still required for guests ages 3 and older to enter Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. Booking a 2025 Disneyland Resort vacation package does not guarantee theme park availability.

Double beds in Pixar Place Hotel suite

Disneyland Resort hotel benefits include early entry into the parks, complimentary fitness center access, and recreational facilities, and they’re all just a short walk away from the parks.

Magic Kingdom Replacing Classic Pavement with New Thematic Pathways

A new section of thematic pathway has been added in Adventureland, offering a more immersive look in Magic Kingdom.

New Thematic Pathways in Adventureland

A fenced-off area with a vacant patch of ground in front of a building, next to a themed bridge structure and thematic pathways. Several people walk in the background under a cloudy sky.

The new pavement is located just after the bridge into the land, outside of the Club 33 location in Magic Kingdom.

A group of people stand in line outside a building with large windows. The area has trees and a blue sky in the background.

The new pathway is reminiscent of the Pandora – World of Avatar walking path in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, thanks to its green, mossy texture.

A roped-off area with cracked and worn pavement next to a building. People walk in the background at a distance.

We also noticed cracks, embedded rocks, and paw prints. The embellishments in the pavement are similar to those in Fantasyland’s Storybook Circus pathways, which feature circus animal prints along with peanuts.

A crowd of people standing in line outside a building, with roped stanchions marking queue areas on a concrete and tile surface. Palm trees and tropical-themed decor are visible in the background.

This is likely the beginning of a full Adventureland pavement refurb. We will keep an eye on the next section that may be changed.

Concrete surface with multiple paw prints embedded and scattered stones visible across the texture.

Here is a closer shot of those paw prints.

A weathered ground with faded green paint, visible horse hoof imprints, and scattered small animal tracks.

We also spotted hoove marks in the new pavement in Adventureland.

Close-up of a damaged sidewalk with a metal pole in the middle. The surface is uneven with cracks and patches of exposed concrete.

The shape of the new pavement is likely to better accommodate future work.

People stroll along a classic pavement next to buildings with various architectural styles and a white porch railing, surrounded by greenery.

Previously the pavement in Adventureland was just grey in this area.

What do you think of the pavement changes in Adventureland? Do you like this new look, or do you prefer how it looked before? Let us know in the comments or on social media.

Disney Eats: Mickey Mouse-shaped Musubi from Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa

One of my favorite parts of a Disney vacation is the food! At Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, guests can enjoy a variety of delicious foods and beverages at one of the many dining locations. Our partners at Aulani shared the Mickey Mouse-shaped Musubi recipe from Ulu Cafe with us today so you can experience some of the magic of Aulani at home!

If you like savory foods with just a little bit of sweetness, this is the perfect dish for you! The homemade sauce adds the perfect amount of sweet to the recipe and the furikake seasoning adds just enough crunch to the musubi.

Now that I’ve talked about this delicious treat, it’s time to share the recipe! The Mickey Mouse-shaped Musubi can be made up to 2 days in advance and refrigerated for an easy meal or snack. If you are serving a crowd, the recipe is easily doubled.

Recipe for Mickey Mouse-shaped Musubi from Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa

MICKEY MOUSE-SHAPED MUSUBI

Ulu Cafe

Aulani, A DisneyÒ Resort & Spa

Serves 4

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups steamed sushi rice, at room temperature
  • 4 ounces SPAM
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup shoyu soy sauce
  • 1 sheet nori, cut into 3/4-inch wide strips
  • 4 teaspoons furikake seasoning

DIRECTIONS

  1. Fill a 3 1/2 inch Mickey Mouse-shaped cookie cutter with 1/2 cup cooked sushi rice. Carefully unmold rice onto a plate. Repeat with remaining rice. Set aside.
  1. Slice SPAM into 1/4-inch pieces. Heat sauté pan over medium heat for 5 minutes, until hot. Cook SPAM for 3 minutes on each side, until browned. Remove from pan. Add sugar and shoyu soy sauce in pan and reduce heat to medium-low. Cook for 3-5 minutes, until slightly thickened.
  1. Return SPAM to shoyu-sugar sauce and cook for 4 minutes, turning after 2 minutes. Remove from pan and drain on paper towels.
  1. Place SPAM horizontally across Mickey Mouse-shaped rice. Wrap with nori strip. Garnish ears with furikake.

Always use caution when handling sharp objects and hot contents.

Please supervise children who are helping or nearby.

This recipe has been converted from a larger quantity in the restaurant kitchens.

The flavor profile may vary from the restaurant’s version.
