It’s official. Hulu’s original smash hit, Only Murders in the Building, is returning for a fourth season! Our favorite characters are BACK, and we can’t wait to see who will make an appearance in this new season.

©Hulu

The show first aired in 2021 and quickly became one of Hulu’s most talked-about shows. And with a cast of ICONS like Steve Martin as Charles-Haden Savage, Martin Short as Oliver Putnam, and Selena Gomez as Mabel Mora, it’s no wonder. Oh, and we didn’t even mention all the FUN celebrity cameos that pop up each season. This show will keep you on your toes — that’s for sure!

©Hulu

The premise is so clever — it follows three strangers who live in the same New York apartment building and share a love of true crime. But things get interesting when the trio find themselves embroiled in a REAL murder. It’s equal parts comedy and mystery, and SO entertaining!

The new season will be available to stream on August 27th, so make sure you’re READY for the big day. We have a feeling the internet will have a lot to say, so be careful to avoid spoilers! Oh, and if you have Disney+ and Hulu, you can stream the show right from your Disney+ account!

Disney+ has TONS of content!

Watch the trailer below!

Oh, and if you, too, enjoy comedy and crime, you might want to check out our own personal investigative series right here on Disney Food Blog!

NEWS: A New Amazon Show Has Been CANCELED After Only One Season

Okay, is it just us, or is it always the TV shows you’re JUST getting into suddenly get canceled?

©Amazon

We’ve had some pretty surprising cancelations recently. For example, the entertaining Renegade Nell was canceled on Disney+ after just one season (which is a SHAME, y’all). We recently learned that the seventh season of The Good Doctor will be its last. Well, another show that we THOUGHT was super popular just got the axe — and we’re not entirely happy about it.

According to The Hollywood ReporterAmazon has canceled My Lady Jane after just one season. The period drama was set to become the next Bridgerton…but with a fantasy twist. The show is based on a novel by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows and offers an alternate world and fantasy retelling of the saga of England’s Lady Jane Grey, who was VERY briefly the Queen of England.

©Amazon

The story begins by introducing Lady Jane (Emily Bader) as a headstrong, smart young woman who wants to do anything but get married but somehow ends up getting married anyway and then goes on to become Queen of England. Set in 16th-century England, the series also introduces shapeshifters called Ethians, who can take the form of people or animals. Jane sympathizes with Ethians, which causes problems once she rises to power.

©Amazon

The series was set up to be Amazon’s period drama answer to Bridgerton and received mostly favorable reviews. However, it seems viewers didn’t catch on to the show: it didn’t break into Nielsen’s top 10 streaming charts a month after its release.

©Amazon

Of course, this could highlight a big problem with new shows on streaming services: viewers often feel burned by these cancelations and won’t commit to a series unless it has more than one season. This results in shows getting canceled before they have a chance to hit their stride. So, as they say, another one bites the dust.

Stay tuned to DFB for more.

NEWS: A Missing Ghost Is BACK at The Haunted Mansion in Magic Kingdom

Are you ready for a swinging wake?

Haunted Mansion

Yes, this is ANOTHER post about Haunted Mansion because we are OBSESSED with this ride, especially this time of year when we get all the new spooky Haunted Mansion merchandise and snacks in Disney World. We’ll use any excuse to ride this attraction, too, so, yes, we rode it recently to check up on a missing specter, and lo and behold, the happy haunt had returned!

So if you’ve been on the Haunted Mansion recently, you might not have noticed that one of the ghosts from the cemetery scene (where they’re singing “Grim Grinning Ghosts”) has been missing. We call him picnic ghost because he’s sitting at a table ready for a midnight picnic. Well, we have some good news: Picnic Ghost is BACK!

He’s back!

We occasionally see ghosts dematerialize from the Mansion — maybe they have wild vacations in the afterlife planned and just need a break from being a Happy Haunt — seriously, all the singing and shenanigans must be tiring! Usually, though, a ghost goes missing because the effect that creates it needs maintenance or refurbishment of some kind. There are so many of these ghosts, though (nearly 1,000!), that you may not even notice when one goes missing. But we’ve missed Mr. Picnic Ghost, and we’re glad he’s back!

Don’t forget that Disney World’s Haunted Mansion also now has Hatbox Ghost, too, like its West Coast version in Disneyland. There is still some controversy over where Hatbox Ghost lives in Disney World’s Haunted Mansion, but we don’t think he’s going anywhere anytime soon.

“Nobody Thinks You’re Cool!” Please DO NOT Do This at the Haunted Mansion in Disney World

‘Tis the season of all things Haunted Mansion, although we might argue that Haunted Mansion should be popular year-round.

Haunted Mansion in Magic Kingdom

But it is the season where we get new Haunted Mansion merchandise and snacks (again, why not ALL year-round, Disney? HUH?). So we wanted to talk about this ride that makes spooky season even spookier (especially during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party). We decided to ask YOU, our DFB readers, about something that people do on this ride that annoys you, and let’s just say YOU ANSWERED.

That’s right, we went on Facebook and asked you, “What’s something people do on the Haunted Mansion that drives you CRAZY?” Y’all came up with a LOT of comments. Whew! So here’s what you told us.

Taking flash photos

Okay, this is one that we hate, too, because it’s against the ride’s rules! The Ghost Host LITERALLY tells you not to take flash photography, after all. Dulcie answered our question, “Take flash photos or text the whole time! Yes, both are distracting.

Haunted Mansion

Shyan added, “Flash photography/recording with flashlight on.” We were actually surprised at how many of you mentioned this. Flash photos on Haunted Mansion are obviously a real problem on the ride. Stephanie has a solution for those who do it: “Flash pictures, on ANY dark ride. Disney jail immediately .😂

Disney World Is Getting 8 New Rides!

Talking loudly in the stretching room

Okay, we’re just going to say it: the stretching room is part of the ride, and you should NOT talk through it. To quote DFB reader Sean, “Talk so loud in the stretching room I can’t hear the Ghost Host. That’s some iconic dialogue I’m missing!”

Maureen sums it up perfectly, “Talk loudly in the stretching room! Just because I’ve been on it 20 times doesn’t mean I don’t want to hear the Ghost Host.”

Don’t talk here!!!

Nancy added, “TALK in the pre-room and the stretching room. SHUT UP!!!!! I want to hear Paul Frees, not you.” SAME, Nancy, SAME. We’ll also point out that several of you mention people screaming during the pre-show and ride, and yes, that bothers us, too.

Older Disney Fans Are Sharing the “Shocking and Annoying” Things Younger Generations Do

Reciting the dialogue

Along with the talking, it’s also annoying when others are reciting the dialogue. Stacey commented, “Recite the stretching room spiel loudly.” If you can’t help yourself, you can just whisper it or mouth the words. Seriously, people!

Julie agreed, “Recite the entire pre show or talk during the whole thing.”

Keep your mouth shut, people.

This seems to be a HUGE problem in the stretching room — yes, you’ve been on this ride a million times, but there are people in there who may be riding Haunted Mansion for the first time. Rob said it best: “Nobody thinks you’re cool because you memorized the ghost host in the stretching room. No one. We’re all judging you the rest of the day. Everytime we see you.”

We Couldn’t Believe Our Eyes When We Saw This Disney Ride Model 🤯

Pushing and shoving

The stretching room is just an annoying place, in general. That’s probably because everyone has to crowd into the room, and once the doors open to join the ride’s queue, people just start pushing and shoving their way through. Like, what’s the hurry? You’re already pretty close to getting in a Doom Buggy, we promise. Angela answered, ” I hate it when people try to push their way through you when the doors open or when they’re practically climbing over your back when getting in the narrow part of the queue.” Yep, it’s the WORST.

Yes, it gets crowded in here, but pushing is not necessary

Ben-Angela said, “The line…like, dude, it’s a constantly moving ride and we’re all gonna get on within just a few buggies of each other. Don’t push me, DEFINITELY don’t push my kids, and don’t separate my family.”

Karen also has a problem with the pushing and shoving: “Push in to the next room. My family always gets separated because someone always pushes through to try to get to the front even though half their family is still way in the back.”

Hatbox Ghost says to stop pushing and shoving

Susan prefers to wait it out, “Push and shove when it’s time to leave the stretching room. I usually wait until they rush out so I don’t get trampled.”

Some other annoyances include standing up inside the Doom Buggy, spreading the ashes of deceased loved ones on the ride (yep, that really happens), and leaving gum on the seat (ew).

8 Disney World Rides That Seriously Need To Make a Comeback

So the next time you ride Haunted Mansion, remember that it takes no effort at all to be mindful of other riders. In the end, that means everyone ends up having a spooky good time on the ride.

Why Disney Adults (Including Me) Keep Asking for Row B1 on Soarin’ in Disney World

“Soarin’ to tower! We are ready for takeoff!”

Soarin’ Around the World

Before you get ready to ride Soarin’ Around the World in EPCOT, and have the chance to meet Patrick, the Chief Flight Attendant, we have some tips on what rows to request for the best experience.

One of our favorite rows to get on Soarin’ Around the World in EPCOT is Row B1, and we are going to explain why. However, there are also some other great rows that may better fit your desires, so we are discussing them all!

Soarin’

If you have never been on Soarin’ Around the World before, it is a simulation attraction where you are visiting iconic locations around the world. You are seated in your ride vehicle and then lifted up in front of a screen. Your ride vehicle will move to mimic soaring through the air as you view the locations from the sky.

Soarin’ in the Land Pavilion

Since you are watching the attraction on a screen and there is the potential to see your fellow flyers during the attraction, there are some seats that we think make for the best experience.

Soarin’ Seats

Keep in mind that you are always welcome to request rows at an attraction in Disney World, but your request may not always be able to be accommodated. Ask nicely and be respectful if the Cast Member isn’t able to accommodate. We promise you will still have an amazing time on the ride no matter where you are sitting!

Soarin’ Queue

Alright, onto the best places to sit while riding Soarin’ Around the World! One of the most popular rows is row B1.  In row B1 you are in the center of the screen and have no feet dangling in your view. Although you are higher up than the exact center of the screen so there will still be some distortion. However, this is a fan favorite because you will get the least amount of distortion from the screen without feet dangling in front of you.

Soarin’ Around the World

If you are looking for the absolute least amount of distortion and don’t care about feet hanging in front of you, then row B2 is where you want to be. In row B2 you are in the true center of the screen so you have minimum distortion. But, be ready for some feet to be in your field of view. Think of Soarin’ kind of like a 3×3 grid, there are three sections (A,B, and C) with three rows each (1, 2, and 3). In row B2 you will be smack-dab in the middle of the grid.

Soarin’ Around the World Seating

Our final row recommendation is for anyone who isn’t a fan of heights or wants to be as close to the ground as possible. You will still be off the ground, so if you are deathly afraid of heights this still won’t be a good row for you. In row B3 you will be in the center of the screen, but a bit lower than the exact center so there will be some distortion. You will also have feet dangling in front of you, but you will be the closest to the ground of any row.

If you’re not in the center, everything is at an angle!

Both section A and section C will be slightly to the side of the screen so you will notice more distortion than in section B. However, row 1 of these sections will still have you soaring without any feet in front of you, and row 3 will get you as close to the ground as possible. While we prefer the B section as you are in the middle of the screen, you will still have an amazing time on Soarin’ no matter where you sit! So even if you don’t get your first choice of seats, you are still getting to fly around the world without leaving EPCOT!

Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree Sign Debuts With New Look at Disneyland

A new Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree sign has been installed at Disneyland Park.

Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree Sign

A wooden building with a sign that reads "Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree" hanging from a tree branch, surrounded by dense greenery.

The hungry bear hanging off the edge of the second-floor seating area has a new sign to navigate as he attempts to grab his ever-elusive beehive. That’s because a new Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree sign has debuted at Disneyland.

The sign is the first to show off the new name of the reimagined restaurant. “Hungry Bear” appears in white at the top of the sign. “Barbecue” is beneath it in a wavy yellow font. “Jamboree” makes up the third row of the sign. The word is yellow, though the font is not wavy like it is in “Barbecue.”

A dessert plate with powdered sugar-dusted red velvet funnel cake, whipped cream, and a scoop of pink ice cream topped with red sprinkles, held in front of the Hungry Bear Restaurant sign at Disneyland's Jamboree.

The old sign for the former Hungry Bear Restaurant can be seen above. Each word appeared on its own line in bold white lettering. The only color other than brown or white present on the old sign was thanks to the yellow beehive, which is still there today.

When Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree reopens it will be located in the newly named Bayou Country section of Disneyland Park. Bayou Country replaces Critter Country, and the name goes into effect when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens on November 15, 2024.

What do you think of the new Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree sign? Let us know in the comments.

New Haunted Mansion Tightrope Walker Tiki Mug Available to Club 33 Members at Disneyland

A Haunted Mansion-inspired tightrope walker tiki mug is now available to Club 33 members at Disneyland. The images of the mug were shared by the enchantedtikibar Instagram account.

Tightrope Walker Tiki Mug

A decorative cocktail sits on a bar, served in an ornate tiki mug with vintage artwork, featuring an umbrella and marked with the number 33. The bar background includes bottles and reflective surfaces.

The tiki mug is green and black with brown wood paneling. One side of the mug features a framed picture of the tightrope walker, Sally Slater, as she appears at the beginning of the stretching room scene in The Haunted Mansion.

Beneath Slater, is a green “33” emblem. It sits above a green Haunted Mansion gargoyle candle holder.

A decorative beverage container on the bar counter, reminiscent of a Tiki Mug, features a vintage-style illustration of a woman with an umbrella. The bar background includes liquor bottles and copper-colored bar tools.

The opposite side of the tiki mug depicts the fully expanded image of Sally Slater after the stretching room has magically grown larger. She stands on her tightrope with a hungry alligator stationed beneath her, waiting for her to fall.

The other two sides of the mug feature green and black designs with brown borders.

The cocktail served inside the new tiki mug contains gin, pear liqueur, honey syrup, allspice dram, and Angostura bitters.

In July 2023, a Walt Disney tiki mug was made available to Disneyland Club 33 members. A film about the secretive club is reportedly in development at Disney.

Club 33

A round plaque with a golden, compass-like design features the number "33" in the center. It's mounted on a light-colored wall at Disneyland's exclusive Club 33, adding an air of mystique reminiscent of the Haunted Mansion's enchanting tales.

Club 33 is a private organization that debuted in 1967. Members receive access to themed clubs, exclusive events, and offerings. To obtain membership, guests must join a waitlist that is often years long and pay fees that are reportedly tens of thousands of dollars.

Walt got the idea to open Club 33 after seeing VIP lounges at the 1964-64 New York World’s Fair, but he didn’t live to see the opening of the original location.

The first Club 33 location was above Pirates of the Caribbean in Disneyland Park. The location also happened to be directly next to Walt Disney’s former apartment.

Since then, more Club 33 locations have opened at each of the four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, Disney California Adventure, Tokyo Disneyland, and Shanghai Disneyland.

Club 33 membership exclusive to each resort. This means that a Club 33 member at Walt Disney World does not have access to Club 33 at Disneyland.
