Just five days ago, we updated you on the progress the themed pavement was making in Adventureland, and already more has been added.
Previously in Adventureland
Here, you can see where our previous update ended. The last space that was completed was at the entrance of the Swiss Family Treehouse. There is even some scoring still in the grey concrete, which is where our update continues.
Adventureland Pavement Update
The newest space of pavement to have been completed in Adventureland is right next to our previous update, past the canons of the Swiss Family Treehouse and just before The Magic Carpets of Aladdin.
Here is the other angle of the newest themed pavement section. It features many of the same qualities as our previous updates. There is green moss closer to the side of the walkway, and you can see pebbles and tracks throughout the pavement.
It does appear that the concrete lightens as it dries and looks a bit more dusty than muddy. The distressed look matches some of the weathering already done on the Adventureland facades.
Here, you can really see those hidden details in the pavement. There are cart tracks, animal footprints, and more hidden in the intentionally “cracking” pavement.
While the refurbishment has caused a few bottleneck situations in the land since its start, crews appear to continue working on one side of the walkway at a time to minimize effects on guest flow.
Have you been keeping up with the Adventureland pavement refurbishment? What do you think of the new look? Let us know in the comments, and check out all of our past updates on this project.
